We mourn the passing of Dr. James C. Dobson (April 21, 1936 – August 21, 2025), the founder of Focus on the Family and a compassionate voice to generations of families around the world. His unwavering faith and genuine empathy shaped a ministry that listened, healed, and equipped countless hearts.

As Jim Daly, Focus on the Family’s President, reflected:

“When I relayed to Dr. Dobson the story of a grieving couple losing their 4-year-old son, his eyes filled with tears. He said, ‘That’s one of the most devastating experiences a human being can suffer…’ He never lost his heart for those who weep.”
