Here's your advance notice for our NEXT SHOW coming up on Sunday 19/10/25 from 7pm. ALL Australian*, ALL new releases* - that's why we're called "Here & Now".

Here's your advance notice of what's on:
1 Kicking off as usual with something that I've been listening to during the week. This time it's a song from an album that I found by chance in a pile at the shop that took my breath away; Ben Harper and the Blind Boys of Alabama "There will be a Light" from 2004.
2 Our second segment "ENRFAWHCMITLW" (Extremely new releases from Artists who have contacted me in the last week). We showcase Bianca Ivorie and Hannah Acfield.
3 In today's latest Amrap charts, there's 20 recent releases from amazing local talents. Quite a few a staying on for a few weeks which is wonderful and a sign that more and more Community radio stations are downloading these songs. Brilliant!
3 This week's feature album: It's a really interesting concept album from 2021 by Mirla called "Solitude (The Virtues of Patience)"
4 The "Jazz Glide Path" will feature 2 songs by the Gemma Farrell Music Quintet from their album "Electronic", released May 2024 by Rachel Davison PR. Then we will be ready for the CRN segment of Barry O'Sullivan's A Jazz Hour syndicated from 2MBS Fine Music Sydney.

Tune in, stream in; what you want - just enjoy all of this amazing local talent!

NEXT SHOW coming up on Sunday 12/10/25 from 7pm. ALL Australian*, ALL new releases* - that's why we're called "Here & Now".
Here's the guff:
1 Kicking off as usual with something that I've been listening to during the week. This time it's the remarkable "Carolina Chocolate Drops".
2 Our second segment "ENRFAWHCMITLW" (Extremely new releases from Artists who have contacted me in the last week). We showcase Bohemian Rogue's new release "Trouble in Paradise".
3 In today's latest Amrap charts, there's 10 new entries that we will focus on, as well as playing the other 10 Artists who are having continued success in the charts. An outstanding result for Mitch Tambo, Little Guilt, and Melinda Schneider who appear for a third week in a row - that's very difficult and a solid sign of strong appeal.
3 NEW feature album segment: "Turning Yr Back On The Dolphin" released on Poison City Records in September by Palm Springs, the solo project of rare spark Erica Dunn (Tropical F Storm, Mod Con).
4 The "Jazz Glide Path" will feature 2 songs by Finn Rees from his album "Dawn is a Melody", the Melbourne keyboard player who is also part of Close Counters. I know I said that last week, but its really true this time! Then we will be ready for the CRN segment of Barry O'Sullivan's A Jazz Hour syndicated from 2MBS Fine Music Sydney.

Tune in, stream in; just enjoy all of this amazing local talent!

DON'T BE DEVO! You may have missed last night's show but there's another one chug, chug, chugging down the line soon (Sunday 5/10/25 from 7pm). You'll be much happier when you give yourself time to catch this next one - it's full of crunchy goodness. All Australian, all new releases - that's why we're called "Here & Now".

Here's the train timetable:
1 Kicking off as usual with something that I've been listening to during the week. This time it's the wonderful "The Waifs".

2 For the 2nd segment which is currently called "Extremely new releases from Artists who have contacted me in the last week - "ENRFAWHCMITLW" for short" we are going to showcase Greg Williams, Sahara Cyberstars, Ben Walker - Music, Rebma Rose, and repeat offender Cassidy-Rae - who's already in the charts with this new one, "Little Fling".

3 In today's new Amrap charts, there's 16 new entries that we will focus on, as well as playing the other 4 Artists who are having continued success in the charts.

3 Eloise is still away up North so I'll keep the new segment I started last night with highlights from a recent great album. This week it'll be Little Quirks from the Central Coast with their self-titled 1st album.

4 The "Jazz Glide Path" will feature 2 songs by Finn Rees from his album "Dawn is a Melody", the Melbourne keyboard player who is also part of Close Counters. Then we will be ready for the CRN segment of Barry O'Sullivan's A Jazz Hour syndicated from 2MBS Fine Music Sydney.

Last night's show is already a warm & fuzzy memory but we march on, we do. Our next show is just around the corner after the next 2 corners. Sunday 28/9/25 from 7pm, to be exact. Here is your treasure map to the scene of the rhyme:
1 We are going to start the show with a local legend, Az Williams from Wytaliba.
2 For the "extremely new release" segment we are going to keep the afrobeat vibe from last week's show opening (Gyedu-Blay Ambolley) with the brand new release by Alice Springs-based Katanga Junior, an EP called "Bongo" released 19/9/25. I'm listening to "Mila" as I type - it's vast, exciting, & delicious.
3 In today's new Amrap charts, there's a huge 17 new entries that we will focus on, as well as playing the other 3 Artists who are having continued success in the charts.
3 Eloise is still away up North. I've heard she is broadcasting a show out of Katherine Community Radio while she is up there.
4 The "Jazz Glide Path" will feature 2 songs by East of West, a world music project from SEQ led by Goran Gajić (Double Bass), with Philip Griffin on Oud and Malindi Morris on Percussion. Then we will be ready for the CRN segment of Barry O'Sullivan's A Jazz Hour syndicated from 2MBS Fine Music Sydney.

Tune in, stream in; just enjoy all of this Sunday evening feast!

Last night's show is done & the next show is getting itself ready for Sunday 21/9/25 from 7pm. Here's what is coming up for your listening pleasure & amazement:

1 To start the show, here's something I came across randomly but I love it's simplicity & joy in these times; "Teacher" by Gyedu-Blay Ambolley & his band.
2 The "extremely new release" segment: Cassidy-Rae & Drew Wilson reached out to me this week so their songs are in here. They are already in the charts, too, which is a crazy strong effort!
3 In today's new Amrap charts, there are 13 brilliant new entries that we will focus on, as well as playing the other amazing Artists who have been sticking around (I have changed the pic to show how many weeks they have been in the charts);
3 Eloise is still away up North. I've heard she is broadcasting a show out of Katherine Community Radio while she is up there. Good stuff!
4 The "Jazz Glide Path" will feature 2 songs by our close neighbours from Armidale (or is that Ohmadale?), Ohmasoulmusic. Then we will be ready for the CRN segment of Barry O'Sullivan's A Jazz Hour syndicated from 2MBS Fine Music Sydney.

Last night's show kicked off with "Pure Pleasure Seeker" from 2000 when Roisin Murphy was in Moloko.

Then we reviewed the latest AMRAP charts from last Monday.

Eloise shared some of her recent listens including Waax, Kučka, GLVES, Tim Shiel, Parcels, & The Wiggles.

Then a bit of a jazz glide path with Benjamin Attiche & Andrew Butt Trio + with a song with the same title as our show (Here & Now) - a nice coincidence.

That was before catching the latest ep of Barry O'Sullivan's always excellent A Jazz Hour from 2MBS Fine Music Sydney. This week's guest in the CRN (Community Radio Network) segment was bass explorer Lucy Clifford.

Listened to the show? Thanks for doing that!

Devastated that you missed all this juicy goodness? Don't worry, the next show is coming up on Sunday 7/9/25. Details to follow soon.

Another great show last night!

We started with the two new dance releases from The Wiggles and The Tree of Wisdom.

Then a bit of a deviation from our usual Oz music to air Wet Leg's recent "Catch These Fists" - just coz its mighty.

Eloise brought in some great tunes from Emma Louise, Angie McMahon, King Stingray Band, Troye Sivan, and others.

We covered the two latest Amrap charts from last Monday, slid in a couple of jazz tracks from COAST and Adam Miller, before catching the latest ep of Barry O'Sullivan's always excellent A Jazz Hour from 2MBS Fine Music Sydney. This week's guest in the CRN - Community Radio Network segment was stride piano maestro Robbie Mann.

Caught the show? Thanks for listening!

Sad you missed all this magic? Don't worry, the next show is coming up on Sunday 31/8/25. Details to follow soon.
