Just giving this a go. The Hinterlander used to be a local paper — now I’m trialling it as a way to feature small businesses and local spots across the Scenic Rim and hinterlands and surrounds. The Beechmont Hotel at the bottom if the moutain genuine blew me away yesterday!

So much so I made a little video of it. We went early on Wednesday night with some friends (including the Flying Bean Cafe) recommended we go woth them. A Fantastic happy crowd, relaxed atmosphere, great variety of food came out quick, and there were more options than I thought. Too many almost that i had FOMO.

Theres a smokehouse kitchen out the back where you can smell the brisket before you even see it. Country music playing, people dancing, and yep — a Slush Puppie vending machine. Had to.Line dancing kicked off around 6:30 — free lessons, then full-on dancing under the lights.

Whole place had a bit of a Western saloon vibe, right down to the cowboy/cowgirl signs on the loos. Honestly felt like we’d stumbled across something. Might be a new favourite. I did a full google review too wirh more photos (see comments)
