One minute she's hugging you, the next you're banished to your room - Shelly Horton says it's not you, it's her hormones throwing a full blown dance party. Full episode's up now, go have a listen.

Toddler plus perimenopause is a genuinely wild combo nobody warned us about. One minute you are loving everyone, five minutes later everyone's sent to their rooms.⁣

It's not you. It's the hormones. New episode of Move Over Mama is up

Shelly Horton could get up and debate, act, perform, the whole lot. Looked completely confident.⁣

Then she'd go home and pick apart everything she just did.⁣

That "fake it till you make it" thing? So many of us were doing it before we even knew it had a name. Confident on the outside, exhausted from overthinking on the inside.⁣

And the SeaWorld job that never happened? Turned out to be the best thing that didn't happen to her. Funny how that works.

Teen Shelly from Kingaroy, population 5000, famous for peanuts, would be mortified.⁣

Grown up Shelly, on national TV, talking periods and perimenopause and campaigning in parliament, is exactly who teen Shelly hoped she'd become.⁣

She just didn't know it would involve so much talking about her uterus.

28/07/2026

Shelly Horton just described the female brain during menopause as "an epileptic bumblebee" ⁣

Meanwhile men's testosterone just... gently declines. Calmly. Like it's got nothing better to do.⁣

Explains a lot, doesn't it.

The Gold Coast Eisteddfod has so started look out for our advertisement in the program!

We’re super proud to support the GCE and congratulate everyone involved on putting on such an enormous event.

It takes a small village to support our young performers and Eisteddfod stages has been a welcoming and wonderful place for the both of us to kickstart our performing careers!

Best of luck to all the performers, enjoy your experience and we will see you there!

Puberty meets perimenopause in one house and honestly it's a miracle anyone's still speaking.⁣

Millie says they hate each other half the time. Shelly says it's just the hormones talking. Are you going through perimenopause and puberty in the same house at the same time? This is the podcast for you. ⁣

26/07/2026

To every teen who thinks their mum hates them — she doesn't. She's exhausted, overwhelmed and her body's doing things she can't even explain half the time.⁣

Shelly Horton joined us to talk perimenopause and why it can feel like years on an emotional roller coaster. Mums, teens, everyone in between — this one's worth the listen.
