Not every Mother’s Day looks the same.
For some, it’s warm hugs, long calls, and deep gratitude.
For others, it’s complicated… quiet… or even painful.
The “mother wound” isn’t always loud or obvious. Sometimes it lives in the spaces where something was missing.
Safety, understanding, emotional presence, or unconditional love.
And that absence can shape the way we see ourselves, our worth, and how we relate to others.
If today brings up mixed feelings, you’re not alone.
It’s okay to honour your experience, whatever it looks like.
Mother’s Day can also be a moment to gently tend to yourself — to offer the care, compassion, and nurturing you may not have fully received. Healing doesn’t mean forgetting or forcing forgiveness. It means meeting yourself with truth, softness, and choice.
Today, we honour all forms of motherhood — including the way you are learning to mother yourself 🤍
