This is River. He’s 9 years old and currently battling leukemia while going through chemotherapy.

I discovered his story through TAINUI KAIHAU , who fought the same disease at 17 and is now running 7 marathons in 7 days to help raise money for River and his family and awareness around leukaemia.

Nobody was reining me in.

Recently, I’ve realised I’ve been holding myself back. Not because I don’t have amazing people around me, I genuinely have the best friends and I’m incredibly grateful for them.

But somewhere along the way, I became too comfortable always having company. Whether it was an adventure, a trip, or even creating content, I found myself waiting for other people.

Waiting for friends to be free.
Waiting for the right time.

The truth is, nobody was stopping me.

I was waiting.

So this trip wasn’t about getting away from people. It was about getting comfortable with my own company again and remembering that my life is mine to live.
