SILENT: Central Coast surf lifesaving clubs joined the national silent vigil to honour the victims of the Bondi terrorist attack and to stand alongside their surf lifesaving colleagues who were among the first responders.

From our beaches to Bondi, the silence spoke volumes, of grief, respect, courage and unity. Surf lifesavers know what it means to run toward danger to protect others, and tonight the Coast paused to acknowledge that service, and the lives lost.

THE DEEP END: The future of Wyong Memorial Pool is limited with a plan to maintain it only until a “replacement facility becomes available in the local area”.
Central Coast councillors made the decision at their ordinary meeting on December 9 and re-affirmed that decision on December 16.
Labor councillors tried to get the decision reversed at the December 16 meeting, called specifically to deal with three rescission motions.

DIGGING DEEP: Bucket donations at Erina Fair showed how the community has rallied for residents affected by the fires at Koolewong.

A spokesman for the Rotary Club of North Gosford said everyone was being generous and the club was matching each donation dollar for dollar.
