Emergency Warning: Kangaroo Creek Road Fire, Coutts Crossing (Clarence Valley LGA) – Seek Shelter Now – Lower Kangaroo Creek area

A bush fire is burning in the vicinity of Kangaroo Creek Road and Kangaroo River, six kilometres south of Coutts Crossing. If you are in the vicinity of Bettong Drive, Middle Creek Road, and Lower Kangaroo Creek Road between Bettong Drive and Middle Creek Road, you are at risk. Seek shelter now or as the fire approaches to protect yourself from the fire. It is too late to leave.

Watch and Act: Kangaroo Creek Road Fire, Coutts Crossing (Clarence Valley LGA) - Prepare Now - Lower Kangaroo Creek

A bush fire is burning near the corner of Kangaroo Creek Road and Lower Kangaroo Creek Road, 28km south of Grafton. It is burning under strong north westerly winds in an easterly and south easterly direction towards Middle Creek Road. Waterbombing aircraft are working to slow the spread of the fire.

If you are in Lower Kangaroo Creek you should prepare now. Check and follow your Bush Fire Survival Plan and stay up to date. Leaving early is your safest option.
