🎅 Santa’s CLICK-WORTHY Gingerbread Cookie Recipe

These are soft in the middle, crisp on the edges, smell like Christmas, and are PERFECT for Christmas Eve plates 🎄

🍪 Ingredients
125 g butter, softened
¾ cup brown sugar
½ cup golden syrup (or molasses)
1 egg
3 cups plain flour
2 tsp ground ginger
1 tsp ground cinnamon
½ tsp nutmeg
½ tsp ground cloves (optional but amazing)
1 tsp baking soda
Pinch of salt
🥣 Instructions
1️⃣ Cream
Beat butter and brown sugar together until light and fluffy.
2️⃣ Add wet ingredients
Mix in golden syrup and egg until smooth.
3️⃣ Mix dry ingredients
In a separate bowl, whisk flour, spices, baking soda, and salt.
4️⃣ Make the dough
Slowly add dry ingredients to wet mixture until a soft dough forms.
5️⃣ Chill
Wrap dough and refrigerate for 30 minutes (this stops spreading).
6️⃣ Roll & cut
Preheat oven to 170°C (fan-forced).
Roll dough to about 5 mm thick and cut into gingerbread people, stars, or Santa shapes.
7️⃣ Bake
Bake for 10–12 minutes until edges are lightly golden.
Cool on tray for 5 minutes, then transfer to a rack.
✨ Tip:
10 mins = softer cookies
12 mins = crunchier cookies
