In some chilly conditions on Saturday, our Goannas showed awesome sportsmanship, determination and plenty of improvement across the day.

A massive shout-out goes to our Under 14s tackle boys, who came away with a gutsy 24–14 victory over Canowindra. These 11 boys have been up against it all season, but they dug deep, played for each other and showed incredible resilience and true team spirit.

This win was about so much more than the scoreboard. It was a reminder of what junior rugby league in Grenfell is all about – commitment, courage, teamwork and never giving up.

We couldn’t be prouder of all our Goannas.

The Forbes Magpies Junior Rugby League Page travelled to Lawson Park, home of the mighty Grenfell Goannas.
Our players continue to grow in confidence, skill and teamwork each week, and we couldn’t be prouder of the effort, sportsmanship and determination they show every time they take the field.
Thank you to Forbes for some great games, and a huge thank you as always to our families and volunteers who give up their time to make game days possible. We couldn’t do it without you.

‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️Unfortunately, due to a late notification that w**d spraying has taken place at Lawson Oval today, all training scheduled for this afternoon has been CANCELLED.

We have been advised that the area is safe; however, given the recent chemical application and the short notice provided, we are choosing to err on the side of caution and prioritise the safety of our players, volunteers and families.

We apologise for the late notice and any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your understanding.

This is our canteen roster for Saturday. If you are unable to do your shift, please try to find someone to fill your spot and notify the committee.

We are looking for a couple of helpers in the last two slots if anyone is available to help out.

We are very appreciative of all of our families volunteering their time to help in the Canteen at our home games 🙏🏻
