Very sad to hear that Brian Wilson, co-founder and singer-songwriter for the Beach Boys, has passed away at 82 years old.

Known for creating classic hits like “Surfing USA”, “Good Vibrations”, “Californian Girls” “God Only Knows” and so so many more in the early to mid sixties.

Congratulations To The Team. Keep up a great job

A big congratulations to the Kamilaroi Highway Group for winning the Borderless Communities Award at the 2025 NSW Local Government Excellence Awards last night. The award was accepted by our Manager Governance and Legal Alice McLean and Narrabri Shire's Acting Tourism and Cultural Service Manager Catherine Davis.

The Kamilaroi Highway group (of which our Tourism Team Leader Nikki Robertson is a member) includes seven councils working together to promote the wonderful journey this highway takes you on - and the many things to see along the way.
