“After 16 years of the Yarra Magazine, 10 years as the owner, I have made the heartbreaking decision to pause operations for the time being. Our forthcoming issue, 64 Summer 2025, will be our final instalment for now.”
Running a locally produced regional magazine takes immense heart, grit and determination, and whilst I am incredibly saddened to announce this, I know it will bring the space and time to nurture other aspects of my life. 
To all of our community, thank you is simply not enough to express our gratitude for your support, belief and understanding.

Hello, it’s Elly and Immy here!
 
We thought we’d stop by and say hi.
 
It’s about time we finally put our names to our faces. We apologise for leaving you waiting so long, but we do admit that this is something that felt a bit nerve wrecking!
 
Whilst we have been doing this a long time, and we know so many of you from the lovely messages, emails and phone calls. We had a chronic case of social media stage freight(itous)… we hope it isn’t contagious!
 
Every issue we have the goal with sharing more with you, and whilst we have come leaps and bounds this year, this has been long overdue.
 
As some of you may know, Pip, our lovely Publisher & Editor, returned to full-time teaching this year. She is passionate about her community and beyond that she has a love for education and learning- something that is invaluable.
 
She has loved making the transition, but it hasn’t come without huge sacrifice, as she has taken a step back from the magazine to accommodate the huge workload that comes with her new responsibility. Pip is still in the background, helping mentor us in whatever comes our way! But we know she has left immense trust in us to oversee the magazine this year (thank you for believing in us).
 
We hope to share more about what happens behind the scenes of the magazine on here, to inspire, unite and celebrate what makes small business so special.
