Ross Goode delivers a comprehensive analysis of the VCE 2025 EL exam and the VCAA examination report in this 50 minute presentation. In the first part of this blog Doug McCurry argues that formative assessment using multiple choice and short answer questions are useful additions to the teaching repertoire of English teachers. They are another way of scaffolding and explicitly teaching the skills of senior English.

In the second part he offers an MCQ and SAQ test that can be done online which he claims involves English skills that are made visible in the test items.
