Viral Kingston biscuits and peach dessert 🍑

You will need
• 1 pack of Kingston biscuits (or Any biscuit type you prefer)
• 1 can sliced peaches
• 1 tbsp brown sugar (optional)
• Vanilla extract (optional)

📍Layer Kingston biscuits in a small ovenproof dish.
📍Then layer peaches over the biscuits and add the juice too.
📍Dot with butter and sprinkle with brown sugar. 📍Air fry or Oven bake at 160 °C for 20- 25 mins, until golden and bubbling.

P.S I had to use “Monte Carlo” since Kingston was nowhere to be found 😢. But, honestly I still think Kingston tastes better 😋

මුං පියළි කිරට, ඉස්සෝ තෙලට, කතුරුමුරුංගා කොළ මැල්ලුම් එක්ක බාස්මතී බත්

හිතවත් අක්කා කෙනෙක් ගෙන් කතුරුමුරුංගා කොළ ටිකක් හම්බුණා. අපි පොළොස් ගන්න බ්‍රසීලියන් ජාතික කාන්තාවගෙන් ඉස්සන්ට දාන්න මුරුංගා කොළ මිටකුත් හම්බුණා. එයා ඒකට මුදල් ගත්තෙත් නෑ. ලංකාවේ රසට කනවා කියලා දැනෙන්නෙ මෙහෙම කද්දී තමයි 😍

How’s your weekend going so far? Hope everyone’s having an awesome weekend!

Made this charcuterie board when two friends came over to visit us last week. It was such a lovely way to catch up, enjoy good food, and spend time together! ❤️

We had cucumber, carrots, green apples and red grapes, with crackers for that extra crunch.

Added some cashews and almonds for the nuts, chicken salami, and chilli cheese. 🌶️🧀

And of course, our favourite savoury crafted dip; sun-dried tomato, cashew and Parmesan cheese.

Simple, colourful, delicious, and perfect for sharing! 😋

My lavender story 🪻🪻🪻

We planted these lavenders with my parents last spring, and for almost a year they didn’t bloom. I watered them every day, fertilised them and gave them so much care, only to find out later that lavender actually prefers less.

So I stepped back, watered them just twice a week, gave them a light prune and waited patiently.

They’ve taught me a beautiful lesson: Sometimes, less really is more. 💜

Now as winter comes to an end, they’re finally blooming and I can’t wait to see them in full bloom.
Hope this gives a nice little reminder that , good things often take time and sometimes less care.🪻

ගිය අවුරුද්දේ වසන්තයේ (September) තමයි අම්මයි අප්පච්චියි එක්ක එකතු වෙලා මේ ලැවෙන්ඩර් පැළ ටික හිටෙව්වෙ.,මම අනිත් පැළවලට වගේම හැමදාම වතුර දීලා, පොහොර දාලා, ගොඩක් ආදරෙන් එයාලාවත් බලාගත්තා.

ඒත් වසන්තයෙන් පස්සෙ මල් පිපුණෙම නෑ. පස්සේ මං දැනගන්න ලැබුණා ලැවෙන්ඩර් කියන්නෙ වතුර, පෝර, සැලකිල්ල ගොඩාක් අඩුවෙන් බලාපොරොත්තු වෙන මල් වර්ගයක් කියලා. ඒත් මල් වලට ගොඩාක් ආදරේ කරන කෙනෙක් විදියය මට ඒක කරන එක ලේසි උනේ නෑ. අකමැත්තෙන් උනත් සතියට දෙපාරක් වගේ වතුර දාලා, සීත කාලේ පටන් ගන්න කලින් ටිකක් prune කරලා, ඉවසීමෙන් බලන් හිටියා.

ඉතින් මේ ලැවෙන්ඩර් මට ලස්සන පාඩමක් ඉගැන්නුවා. සමහර වෙලාවට හැම දෙයක්ම ඕනෑවට වඩා කරන්න හදනවට වඩා, ටිකක් අතහැරලා ඉවසීමෙන් බලන් ඉන්න එක තමයි හොඳම දේ. 💜

බලන්න දැන් එයාලා පුංචි පුංචි පොහොට්ටු අරන් වසන්තයට සූදානම් වෙන හැටි. මගෙ හිත සතුටින් පිරිලා තියෙන්නෙ 🪻🪻

When my hubby is craving Mexican food, this is what ends up on our dinner table! 🌮😋

Loaded with crunchy corn chips, pulled chicken, pico de gallo, cheese and salsa. We didn’t have any guacamole (which is usually a must). But, it was still absolutely delicious. ❤️

Managed to snap a few photos before it went into the oven. 📸

පහුගිය සිකුරාදා දවල් මෙනූ එක ❤️

පොල් කිරි දාපු කහබතට, සැමන් තෙල් දාලා, තෙල් චූට්ටක් දාලා වතුරෙන් උයාගෙන, කැට වෙන්න හදාපු පරිප්පු එක්ක ගෙවත්තෙන් ෆ්‍රෙශ් පාර්ස්ලි සලාද. මේ curly parsley එකේ ගොටුකොළ වලට ගොඩක් සමාන රසක් තියෙන්නෙ. මෙහෙම කැටවෙන්න හදන පරිප්පුව බත් මුලකට නියමයි. 😋
