Kelly Here - I have been a little quieter on the socials this past month, but extremely busy behind the scenes. Here is a small preview of what to expect from me in 2026!

Advanced Roofing QLD will be available for roof restorations and repair work within the Fraser Coast Region. I am the behind-the-scenes support for this business, as I am not a big fan of heights 😂 My Husband, Luke, is the one who will be on the roofs.

New issues of Island View Connect Magazine will go live on the 20th of every month, along with the updated version of the Island View Connect Business Directory. Being a digital-only magazine means much lower advertising costs, making it more accessible for smaller local businesses, and clickable ads that let readers book services.

Island View Gift Hampers will continue to grow - with free delivery within Hervey Bay, my first gift hamper - A Taste of Fraser is a convenient way to support locally made goods and the Fraser Coast Hospice, with a donation from every gift hamper donated to the Hospice at the end of each month.

And as of December 2025, I am now the new owner of Alive Magazine after Founder Joy Butler decided 2026 was her time for new adventures. My first monthly edition of this printed publication will be out in February 2026, and I am looking forward to upholding the community values Joy has spent the last 5 years bringing to the Fraser Coast.

Alive Magazine is Free to read, with 4,000 copies printed each month, distributed to over 250 locations across the region. From 2026, I will also be including a QR code in each edition of Alive for Island View Connect Magazine as well. The mission for both the digital and printed magazine publications is to support the visibility of our small businesses and community groups with in the Fraser Coast Region.

Alright, the secret is out!

This distribution run will be our last as the owners of Alive Magazine, this week we will hand this business over to the amazing Kelly from Island View Connect Magazine to continue operate the Alive Magazine as usual, keeping the same essence, vision and quality.

We had so much fun in the past 5.5 years meeting so many incredible people, inspiring locals and business owners who have given so much to the community. Also sharing lots of hugs, sweat and tears.

We would like to thank all our supporters, readers, clients, writers, advertising team, printers and family for this journey. We are forever grateful. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. 🙏 Love you all and see you all soon!

Today, the Alive team got together for a Thanksgiving brunch, and we are saying farewell to Louise, our advertising manager, who has been working for this publication since the beginning. We wish her all the best and enjoy her retirement life travelling around. We also thank everyone one's hard work and give their hearts and talents to Alive Magazine. So much love! 🙏
