Tam's Rescue Spotlight

Name : Baylee
Age : 2
Breed : Golden Retriever x Staffy
Gender : Male

Baylee is one of those dogs who makes every day brighter. He’s incredibly friendly, deeply loving and happiest when he’s part of the action.
He is great with children, friendly with other dogs and has previously lived with cats, showing gentle, positive behaviour toward them.
He is fully house‑trained, walks beautifully on the lead and loves hopping in the car for an outing.
Baylee is very playful and active, especially when there’s a ball involved, it is his favourite thing to do and he will do it all day long if you let him, Baylee will proudly fetch the ball and bring it back every time.
Because he’s such an energetic boy, he needs a home that can keep him stimulated; he may dig if he gets bored.
With the right family, Baylee will be the most loyal and affectionate companion you could ever ask for.
His adoption includes worming, desexing, microchipping, vaccination and a free Fraser Coast Regional Council Registration for the current registration period. Please call the Hervey Bay Animal Refuge on 41282722 or send them a Private Message on facebook for more information.

Tam's Rescue Spotlight!
Name : Noodles
Age : 3
Breed : Great Dane x Border Collie
Gender : Female

Meet Noodles, our sweet Mumma who has finished raising her beautiful puppies and is now ready for some well‑deserved pampering.
This gentle girl is all about comfort and affection.
She loves curling up beside you, lounging like royalty on the couch and proudly wearing her cozy sweaters in winter. When the weather warms up, she’s happiest splashing around in a dam, it’s her favourite little adventure.
Noodles is house trained, loves car rides and is wonderfully calm in the home. She’s not the most playful or active dog but she makes up for it with her soft nature and world‑class cuddles.
We have now learned that Noodles would love someone who can be home with her more often than not and although she gets along with other dogs she would be best suited to an ONLY pet household or with a submissive friendly male. Noodles just loves humans of all sizes.
If you’re looking for a relaxed, affectionate companion who brings warmth and serenity into your home, Noodles is ready to be your queen of the lounge.

Her adoption includes Worming, Desexing, Microchipping, Vaccination and a free Fraser Coast Council Registration for the current registration period.
Please call us on 4128 2722 or send us a Private Message for more information

Fraser Coast weather update and sandbag information (Friday 6 March 2026, 10.30am) 📢

Forecasts for rainfall over the weekend and into early next week are still changing, so we encourage you to stay informed and prepare now, just in case. At this stage, the heaviest rainfall is predicted for Sunday (8 March) and Monday (9 March).

Our catchments are already quite saturated, so if we receive heavy rain in a short period, there is a risk of flash flooding. Flash flooding can rise and fall quickly, so please remember: if it’s flooded, forget it.

We strongly encourage people to stay off the roads during heavy rain where possible, to avoid placing extra pressure on emergency services.

SANDBAGS 👇
Self-serve sandbag filling points are open at:
✅ United Warriors Football Club car park at 187 Tavistock St, Torquay
✅ Pacific Haven airfield
✅ Maryborough Airport
✅ Maryborough SES Depot (limited hours)
✅ Sandy Straits SES Depot, Boonooroo

Further sandbag filling points are being set up today at:
• Hervey Bay TAFE car park
• Gatakers Boat Ramp car park
• Urangan Boat Ramp car park
• Tinana Recreation Ground car park.

Please visit the Disaster Dashboard and check under ‘Active Centres’ for more details on locations and opening times: https://disaster.frasercoast.qld.gov.au/

These are sandbag filling points so please bring your own shovel. If you think you are going to need sandbags, we encourage you to get them sooner rather than later.

We are opening these additional sandbag filling points to make it easier for residents to access sand and help spread demand across multiple locations.

ℹ️ Please stay informed via our Disaster Dashboard: https://disaster.frasercoast.qld.gov.au/

Tam's Rescue Spotlight!
Name : Tonka
Age : 2
Breed : Red Cattle
Gender : Male

Tonka is a gorgeous 2‑year‑old Australian Cattle Dog with a heart as bright as his coat. He can be a little shy when he first meets new people but give him a moment and you’ll discover the sweetest little love bug hiding underneath. Once he trusts you, he’ll lean right in for affection and happily show off his signature grin. Yes, he loves to smile and flash those pearly whites and no, he’s not trying to scare you. It’s just Tonka being Tonka.
What Tonka Brings to the Table:
He is affectionate, playful and active, he’s the perfect mix of fun and cuddles.
He is fully toilet trained, great in the car, good on the lead and he doesn’t jump or dig.
Tonka is known to be dog‑friendly and has lived with cats previously although we haven’t tested him here.
Tonka is the kind of dog who will blossom beautifully in a calm, patient home that lets him warm up at his own pace. Once he feels safe, he’ll reward you with loyalty, laughter and that iconic cattle‑dog smile that could brighten anyone’s day.
His adoption includes worming, desexing, microchipping, vaccination and a free Fraser Coast Regional Council Registration for the current registration period. Please call the Hervey Bay Animal Refuge on 41282722 or send them a Private Message on facebook for more information.
