Radio Italiana 531 Celebrating Italian Music, Language & Culture in Australia for 50 years! You can find us at Unit 3, 215 Port Road, Hindmarsh.

Radio Italiana 531 is owned and operated by members & volunteers of the South Australian Italian community and enjoys the active support of a large number of sponsors together with over 400 members, Clubs and Associations. Our listeners are loyal and passionate and come mostly from the almost 100,000 South Australians of Italian heritage. Radio Italiana 531 covers metropolitan and most regional areas of South Australia via the 531am signal, and there is an ever growing audience via our digital platforms such as our app, online streaming via our website and TuneIn. Radio Italiana 531 prides itself on its volunteers, announcers, quality of production and variety of music. This mix of expertise reflects in the most professional manner, delivering the needs and wants of our diverse listening audience and ultimately promoting our language, culture and traditions. We have a strong and loyal base of over 100 volunteers, ranging from announcers, console operators, administrative staff as well as a Management Committee and other sub-committees. All decisions regarding the long term vision, sustainability and future of the Station are made by its members via an elected Management Committee. Radio Italiana 531 employs several key staff, including a General and Sales Manager, Production Manager, Accounts and Administration Officer.

A wonderful guest yesterday on Le Ragazze with Angela and Rosalia!

Hayden Kanisauskas, founder of Braid & Bond, joined us alongside our General Manager and new dad, Marco Petta.

Braid & Bond brings fathers together in a relaxed and supportive environment where they can learn how to style their daughters’ hair, from ponytails and braids to buns, while building confidence, sharing experiences and creating a stronger bond with their daughters.

It is about much more than hair. It is about present fatherhood, connection, community and giving dads a welcoming space to learn from one another.

Un grande onore accogliere oggi negli studi di Radio Italiana 531, in occasione della sua prima visita ufficiale ad Adelaide, l’Ambasciatore d’Italia in Australia, Sua Eccellenza Nicola Lener.

Durante l’intervista abbiamo parlato degli obiettivi del suo mandato, dei rapporti tra Italia e Australia, delle opportunità di collaborazione economica e commerciale e del ruolo fondamentale della comunità italiana nel nostro Paese.

È stata anche una bellissima opportunità per l’Ambasciatore di conoscere i membri del nostro Comitato presenti, incontrare il nostro staff e visitare gli studi di Radio Italiana 531.

Con noi anche il Console d’Italia nel Sud Australia, Ernesto Pianelli, e la Vicepresidente del Com.It.Es. SA, Pina D’Orazio.
