That iconic pedestrian crossing “tick tick tick” isn’t just an everyday Aussie sound. it’s so famous that Billie Eilish sampled it in her Grammy-winning hit Bad Guy after recording it during a trip to Australia. 🎵🇦🇺 The sound was originally designed to help people who are blind or have low vision cross the road safely, and it’s now recognised as one of Australia’s most iconic sounds.

If you heard the sound in your head before pressing play… you’ve officially been in Australia long enough. 😄
