Emergency services have responded to a fatal collision in Warrak this evening. It’s believed a vehicle and a truck collided on Western Highway just after 5pm. The yet to be formally identified female driver of the car has died at the scene. The male truck driver is being treated for non-life-threatening injuries. Investigations are ongoing into the circumstances of the collision.
The highway will be closed in both directions between Beaufort and Ararat. Anyone who witnessed the incident, has dashcam/CCTV footage or information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or file a confidential report online at www.crimestoppersvic.com.au.
