Includes a biometric chip, microprinting, UV-reactive elements, and images of native fauna that appear under UV light
5️⃣ Unique Aussie Design
Each page features native flora and fauna with hidden details under special light
💡 **Pro Tip:** Covers can curl slightly over time — use a passport holder to keep it flat and protected
✍🏽 Tips for First-Time Adult Passport Applications
(Naturalised Citizens – Citizenship by Conferral)
1️⃣ Apply online — it’s more convenient.
Your referee doesn’t sign a physical form; they just need to be contactable.
You only need to print the application checklist.
2️⃣ Not all Australia Post branches process passport applications.
Check for participating outlets before you go.
3️⃣ Get passport photos done professionally (Australia Post is easiest).
The rules are strict — incorrect sizing or lighting can delay your application.
4️⃣ Bring all original identity documents when lodging:
• Australian Citizenship Certificate
• Foreign passport
• Australian driver licence
• Original birth certificate
• Medicare card
5️⃣ Timing matters:
• You can lodge from 10 working days after your citizenship ceremony.
• Once you start the online form, you have 14 days to complete it before it’s deleted.
• You must lodge within 6 months of completing the form.
Pro tip: Start filling out the online form before your 10-day mark, then lodge as soon as you’re eligible.
Save this if you’ve just had your ceremony 🇦🇺
