Another recent project for our team was in Ulverstone at the Leven Theatre providing new Leg Curtains to this gorgeous little community theatre.
Works also included new adjustable rigging to support the legs as well as ‘leg returns’ to now provide a full mask keeping those off stage properly hidden in the wings!

Shinning the light at St Aiden’s Anglican Church. We recently installed new lighting to illuminate the Chapel. CKC F180 Fresnels Providing fixed warm white lighting into the Sanctuary and CKC FP180 pars providing full colour above, all controlled via an Cue Core iPad interface.

The Electro-Voice LRC-2100 arrives in Australia!
St Mark’s Anglican Church have taken delivery of the brand new EV LRC-2100 as part of a new sound system we have specified and installed.
The LRC series (Line Radiator Column) contains 12 2.5” drivers providing exceptional pattern control. We chose the LRC-2100 due to the layout of the chapel with the speakers needing to be situated above and behind the microphones, the LRC provides 25 degrees of vertical coverage which was ideal for our requirements (also switchable to 45), We used 3 enclosures to provide the 180 degrees of horizontal coverage needed. We complemented the LRC system with EVID-S10.1D dual 10” Subwoofers and Dynacord C-Series Amplifiers providing processing and alignment. The results are phenomenal providing fantastic clarity and intelligibility in a complex environment.

On Saturday night we supported our friends at Variety the Children's Charity TAS at the Variety of Chefs fundraising event at Wrest Point Hobart. Providing audio and lighting production. The event was the first outing for our Midas Heritage HD96-Air console which performed flawlessly.

We also supplied our Avo Quartz lighting console, Vari-Lite VL2600 AND SL LEDSPOT300 profiles, Astera Tubes, Acme Gemini Fixtures and Blinders, and Sennheiser EW-DX wireless.

We have lit Bijou Tasmania’s latest production ‘Emma’ by Jane Austin which has opened at the The Playhouse Theatre.
The production runs to the 2nd of August.

The Avalon Theatre

Originally built in 1890 as a Temperance Hall, the building spent 86 years as a cinema, followed by over 30 years as Danny Burke Electrical. Today, it now serves as the home of Hillsong in Hobart.

We recently completed a range of venue engineering tasks as part of the major renovations.

Our work included the installation of six trusses with cable retraction systems to support Hillsong’s sound, lighting, and vision systems. We also supplied and installed a significant amount of theatrical draping throughout the venue.
