What an amazing opportunity for Mia! 👏 Let's hope that this is the first of many scholarships for local students.
STUDENT ACHIEVEMENT | Scholarship recipient - Mia Terry
Good Counsel College is incredibly proud to share that Year 12 student Mia Terry has been awarded the inaugural Silica Resources Australia / Jabin Indigenous Engineering Scholarship!
This prestigious scholarship provides $20,000 per year, along with mentoring and work placement opportunities as Mia embarks on her engineering studies at QUT in 2026.
Mia, a proud Mamu and Malanburra Yidinji woman, has been an exceptional leader at GCC and an inspiring role model across our community.
We thank Silica Resources Australia and Jabin for investing in the next generation of Indigenous engineers from the Cassowary Coast and for recognising Mia’s dedication, talent and leadership.
