We were in City Park, Launceston, Tasmania.

City Park is a historic and beloved public green space located in the heart of Launceston, the second-largest city in Tasmania, Australia. Established in the 1820s by the Launceston Horticultural Society and transferred to the Launceston City Council in 1863, it was originally known as "People's Park" and has since become a key cultural and recreational hub. Rated among Australia's top ten parks, it spans about 10 hectares and features a mix of Victorian-era gardens, heritage elements, wildlife exhibits, and family-friendly amenities. It's free to enter (with optional donations for the conservatory) and serves as a peaceful oasis amid the urban setting, ideal for picnics, walks, or relaxation.

City Park offers a delightful blend of nature, history, and whimsy, making it a must-visit for families, history enthusiasts, or anyone seeking a break in Launceston. If you're planning a trip, combine it with nearby Cataract Gorge or the Tamar Valley wine region for a full day out.

The struggle of husbands (or guys in general).

I remember when my family went out, we met a couple. The husband was working hard to take photos for his wife, while she just struck poses like a pro. Totally normal, just another day. But here’s the kicker: the husband had disabilities in both legs and needed two crutches to get around! Even so, he leaned against a fence, propped himself up with crutches under his armpits, and used both hands to snap pics with his phone.

And, my husband? Every time he takes photos for me, he’s hustling like crazy, going all out for the perfect shot. But after snapping a gazillion photos, we only end up with a handful that make the cut. Well, better than nothing 😂. My rules are simple: if I’m chubby, he’s gotta make me look slim; if I’m not looking my best, he’s gotta make me look like a queen. If he doesn’t nail it, he’s in for a rough day 😆😆😆.

Anyway, every couple’s got their own vibe. My advice to single guys: go sign up for a photography or video editing class ASAP—it’ll up your game in the dating world. And for the married folks, take that course too to keep the wife happy and the love strong!

P.S. This is just my take for fun—don’t take it tooo serious if you see things differently 😉.

I once read somewhere the saying: "The day you bring a child into the world is the day you decide to let your heart wander outside your body."

Indeed, since the day my little angel came into my life, I’ve never had a single moment of true relaxation. Some might think I’m overreacting, but I know I’m a mother who worries a lot. I fear everything around my son, even the most unlikely scenarios with odds of one in a million.

My husband teases that I'm afraid of everything and jokingly suggesting we raise Liam in a glass bubble to shield him from the world. I think men don’t fully understand this feeling in women, or perhaps the way men and women express love for their children is just very different.

No matter what, regardless of how old a child is, as long as parents are still breathing, they will forever carry a quiet worry, watching over their child for a lifetime.

To my little angel, Mummy always looks forward to seeing you grow up each day, but deep down, I secretly wish time would slow down, keeping you close in my arms a little longer. What a contradiction, isn’t it? You are the priceless gift of Mummy and Daddy, we love you.

I miss those serene summer days...

Noon under the blazing sun, we were all not napping but sneaking off to raid grandma’s cornfield 😆😆😆 (me, my youngest sister, my husband and Liam).

I love corn the most—it’s so versatile, turning into countless dishes and drinks. From young corn to mature cobs, corn silk, husks, and even the core, every part has its use.

Whether it’s a gas stove or an electric one, nothing beats a wood-burning fire. Sure, it takes a bit to get going, but watching the flames dance and smelling the smoke feels so cozy, so deeply comforting (just my personal opinion 😊).

We were in Crystal Castle in November last year.
Such a beautiful place and we were all loved the serene vibes there.

Let me tell you guys this story.

Man, during the Covid period, the news updated the number of new cases and *** every day. My workplace had a lot of people coming in and out, so I thought the risk of getting infected would be higher. I asked my boss for time off because I have a young child at home and was afraid of catching it and passing it to my kid. My boss was understanding and let me take leave.
So what happened next? Well, guess what, nobody at the shop got infected, but me, the one who was so scared and took leave first, ended up getting it! 🤣
Poor my boss, at 8 or 9 p.m, after closing the shop, she’d go buy supplies for my family, medicine, test kits and drop in our front gate (she surprised us to do that). She even asked my colleagues to send me encouraging messages. I felt so touched.

Oh, and another thing, I bet no household is like mine. Even during the scary Covid times, we still binged The Walking Dead from start to finish. The show’s great, with so many intense, heart-stopping scenes, totally adding pressure to ourselves 😂.

During the two weeks of self-isolation at home, I had nothing to do but eat, sleep, and watch movies. No wonder I gained 2 kilos.
I guess since I had two vaccine shots, when I got infected, I didn’t feel any symptoms, totally fine. My husband was a bit more tired for the first week, but then he was fine too. Our puppy, still nursing, didn’t show any reactions either.

I noticed afterward that my immunity seemed to drop. I’m usually super healthy, rarely getting sick year-round, but this time I felt it. There was also some memory fog (even though I had a natural giving birth to my son with no painkillers or anesthesia).

But now things have stabilized, probably because I’ve been paying attention to my diet and daily routine.
What can we do? The vaccine was developed in such a short time, there wasn’t enough for long-term testing. Plus, no one has ever guaranteed that any vaccine is 100% free of side effects. But if you don’t get vaccinated, the risk of *** is much higher, so you still need to get it.
