Today is Miss Quinzel's 2nd Birthday ... Gee the past 2 years have gone past so quickly ... Thank you Ann for letting this little one come and hang out with us, I think she's gonna stay with us for a few more nights, don't expect her back anytime soon 😜🤣🤣🤣 ...

Happy 13th Birthday to my gorgeous Miss Zeeva … In human years, due to her age and size, Zeeva is now older than me at 68 … However, you wouldn’t know it as Z still do 360’s before her dinner and she has this absolutely wonderful spring in her step when she walks …

Everyone who meets her, loves Miss Z instantly … She knows her way around the hospital and every medical centre we go to like the back of her paw … For over 9 years she has been helping me cope with going out in public, get blood tests, go through chemo and prepare myself for CT Scans, PET Scans or go to the dentist ... When I get too anxious at the dentist, I squeeze my legs and she walks up my chest so I can scratch her and breathe in her fur … She only weighs 2.2kg and many would say that she can’t do DPT (Deep Pressure Therapy) but the fact that she’s there feels like she weighs as much as a 20kg dog, and she calms me with this simple movement … And no the sounds of the drills and everything else don’t worry her while they freak me out immensely …

It is Zeeva who by doing her tasks, such as a tap on my arm/leg, smelling her fur, or looking into her eyes, or so many other things ... Zeeva does what no human can do for me ... Her retirement, when she’s ready, to air-conditioned comfort, Dog TV via YouTube, treats galore and sleeping to her hearts content is all something she gets now, but will be even more deserved … She doesn’t like it if I take Quinzel out for a quick training session because that’s her job I’m swiftly told when I return, as she demands cuddles as I apoligise for leaving her home alone.

Zeeva reminds me to get out of bed in the morning when I don’t want to, and lets me know when it’s bedtime by standing at our bedroom door …

Have a pawtastic 13th Birthday my gorgeous girlfriend Miss Zeeva … Everyday is better simply because you are in it! … Mummy loves you to the moon and back …

My Granny absolutely adored 'Our Royal Family' as she always called them ... She had several beautiful collector books about them, Princess Elizabeth, Margaret, their father King George VI and Queen Elizabeth ... I loved those books so much and I was so gentle whenever I was allowed to look at them ... Those books meant the world to my Granny ...

Her love for HM Queen Elizabeth II encouraged my love and admiration for everything about books and the Royal family, in particular The Queen who dedicated her life to public service - An incredible 70 years & 214 days ...

Her Majesty has been My Queen all of my life and today I along with millions of others around the world, really don't know know how to feel.

Only days ago we saw her invite Britain's 3rd female Prime Minister to form a government ... Yes, she looked frail, but happy ... little did we know, it would be the last time we would see her beautiful smile ...

RIP Maam, finally you're back in the arms of the love of your life, Prince Phillip ... I hope you were greeted by your horses and corgis that have gone before you ... Because that's what all us true animal lovers would love to believe ...
