💁‍♀️ 10 Facts You Might Not Know About Me (But Now You Do 😅)
Let’s shake things up and have some fun — here are 10 random, weird, and wonderful facts just because...👀👇
I met my husband in the gym 10 years ago. We were just friends for 2 years before he asked me out… and the rest? Beautiful history.
I knew I was going to be a boy mum — even before my eldest was born. Just had a deep gut feeling.
I have severe social anxiety. When I’m coaching, and presenting I can switch it off because passion takes over — but out at events or functions? I’m internally screaming.
I’m not a hugger. Like, at all. So if I’ve ever hugged you? Just know you needed it more than I hated it 🫠
I’m in absolute denial about pink being my favourite colour — despite the fact it’s basically on everything I own 😂
I’ve had OCD since I was 7. It’s well-managed now, but it’s been a lifelong ride of learning and adapting.
My favourite meal? A proper hearty burger and chips — none of that sad Maccas stuff. I’m talking big, juicy, messy goodness 🤤
I have a serious food aversion to fruit — especially berries. The seeds? Freak. Me. Out.
I talk with my hands so much I’ve knocked over drinks mid-sentence… stone cold sober.
I was deep in my emo-punk rock era in my late teens (Avenged Sevenfold, Rise Against anyone?) Now? Gimme all the Taylor Swift and bad-ass feminist anthems 💅
👉 So now it’s your turn… which one surprised you the most?

WORKING MUMS CAN I GET AN AMEN! 🙌

You are pulled in all different directions right now, kids, career, partner, extended family and SOMEHOW, amongst it all you're expected to find time for you....
ONLY, you don't because everyone else's needs come first.... 🤷🏼‍♀️

💥HOLD UP!

❔️What happens without you?
❔️What happens if you get sick?
❔️What happens if you're so burnt out you can't function?

These are the questions I asked myself to finally get my needs off the backburner.

You See At 5 Months Post Partum with my youngest I returned to work; really fast and really hard, my mental health began to suffer, in came the anxiety, mood swings, and constant fatigue added on top of lack of sleep because my babies never slept. 💤
My young family needed me more than ever, BUT because I was putting myself last I was struggling to meet their demands too. (I was too PROUD to ask for help and to admit I was caught in a cycle of serving others)🫣

🫶🏻SELF CARE:
I'm not talking about going on spa days, girl's weekends and sipping endless mimosas 🍹 by the beach (while that'd be nice)

I'm talking about basic human needs, like solitude, connection with peers in all areas of life, and YES exercise and diet too.

SO HOW DO WE DO IT?⬇️

IN YOUR CALENDAR SCHEDULE IN:
1. WORK SHIFTS
2. COMMITMENTS AND EVENTS
3. EXERCISE AND APPOINTMENTS
4. MEAL PREPARATION

⏳️Find 3x spots in the week you can work out. They don't have to be huge chunks of time, 20-30 mins will do the job.

Each week, Complete JUST 2 of these scheduled workouts (while 5 would be great, putting that much pressure on yourself may lead to more overwhelm, so let's take it easy, and allow wiggle room.)

⚠️NOW you wouldn't cancel a dentist or a doctor, and you don't cancel taking your kids to their extra curriculars.

SO DON'T KEEP DOING IT TO YOURSELF

❤️‍🔥THIS TIME IS NOT SELFISH, IT'S ESSENTIAL to improve your mental health, strengthen your bones and improve your cardiovascular fitness, it gives you opportunity to Zen out listening to YOUR favorite music (instead of the Wiggles on repeat😵) OR you can catch up with other likeminded women on a similar path and build new friendships.👯‍♀️

She’s in her hot mum era.
She’s in her “I can have that drink” era.
She’s in her “it’s okay to have a break” era.
She’s in her “f**k it, let’s live” era.

I spent so long thinking things had to be a certain way to be seen as "perfect."
▪️Scared to take time off in case I disappointed someone.
▪️Scared to wear a bikini — what if people had something to say? (literally even at my fittest and healthiest I couldn't handle comments about my body, good or bad)
▪️Scared to eat or drink — because “she’s a PT, she can’t do that.”

So I avoided it. All of it.

Joy. Fun. Freedom.

And all it gave me in return was anxiety from constantly being “ON.”
But here’s the truth:
that’s not me.

I’m a little unhinged! 💅🔪
I’ll enjoy a drink (or two).🥂
I’ll be in the moment with the people I love.🥰

Because I’ve learnt that talkers will talk either way.

They’ll judge you whether you shrink yourself or shine.

So f**k it, I’ll choose joy, thanks!

I’ll live!

And I’ll throw caution to the wind ✌️💨

PUNISHING YOURSELF FOR OVERINDULGING??
IT'S TIME TO TAKE A NEW APPROACH!!

Chances are, if you do one of these two things, you are punishing yourself without even knowing it in order to "stay" or "get back on track"

1. Drastically reducing your calories the next day to try and account for what you over consumed. 🥗

2. Trying to out cardio your choices.🏃‍♀️

❌Both are as equally damaging as each other and here is why.

Drastic reductions in calories will result in feelings of hunger, and then become a cycle of overeating, hunger, overeating, hunger, and then your body, metabolism and hormones, will have no clue what's going on (and you end up feeling like you constantly need to "fix" yourself)

When it comes to out training your choices, this can lead to cycles of over training, injuries, and again feelings of failure and not good enough

It doesn't have to be this way, you are one of a majority of people who will overindulge, not just at Christmas but at any given time of the year, and this is a great opportunity to change your relationship with food.

The trick to not letting food guilt get one up on you is to know that overindulging CAN be just a one off, it's not a failure.

Here's how to combat the guilt and have a better relationship with your body, mind and food.

1. Keep moving your body the way that you did before and according to your training plan, there is no need to add in extra cardio or more sessions.

2. Make your next meal a balances one, choose protein, a variety of vegetables and complex carbohydrates.

3. Remind yourself that the bloating you may feel is the result of todays food, currently digesting in your belly. it's not permanent so long as you make great choices around it.

4. Don't weight yourself daily As a woman your body will fluctuate, they may have nothing at all to do with the food you have consumed, and will only leave you losing your confidence and probably your motivation too.

These are some of the tried and tested methods .fearless.females are using to build their body confidence and break free of food fear.

Are you tired of punishing yourself?

✔️ CHECK YOURSELF
*Respectfully

I bet there are a couple of things you're doing and thinking right now that aren't serving you and your quest for self love and confidence...

So let's explore >

What are some of the things you're telling yourself that aren't true?

✨️I WON AN AWARD ✨️

And I didnt share it on my business Page...
I shared this on my story, and on my personal Facebook (where I have like very limited followers) because I didn't want to seem braggy...

Like are you joking?

I've been called so many things, from "a fake", to "too much" to "self promoting" and none of those people have ever even stepped foot into the space that is my business or been a part of anything I have ever created...

Yet their words were playing back to me like someone, somewhere will be offended by my bragging about achieving something cool like this.

So here I am, not so humbly bragging that I was the PERSONAL TRAINER of the QUARTER in all of Goodlife QLD for Q3 (Aug-Oct) for the community I created for my clients, for the tireless work I do behind the scenes for the gym, and because I genuinely give a s*it about the people who walk through those doors (or slide into my inbox)

Because I know some of you have gone out on a limb or been so scared to reach out and ask for help... and when you did or when you finally do, it's so increadibly brave....

Know that I see your bravery, I see your struggle just know I will walk it with you.
