When you visit the Pademelon Press pop-up bookshop at conferences (), we’ve usually earlier been dressed up in our high-viz vests because OH&S is really important when set-up is happening. So the conferences are winding down for 2025 and the high-viz vests have been washed and are hanging on the line ready for next year’s beautiful connections.

What a joy to celebrate the launch of ‘I am me, you are you’ last night. When colleagues who are friends and badasses AND who make beautiful books about inclusion invite you to their launch, it’s so special. Congratulations to Semann, Louise Dorrat and Heidi Upward on this contribution to children’s literature.

Why write a children’s book?

The world of words is magical and books bring both children and adults into a relationship as they read together. As the book slowly makes it way into the hands of those who have purchased it we are full of delight as photos and stories are shared.

Here is Andre one of the children who is featured in the book. His mum reports that Andre loves nothing more than reading the book and at the end opens the page he is featured in and sleeps with it open.
