Introducing the newest member of the APSD team - Emma.

Emma joined us just over a month ago as a Trade Assistant and in that short time she has already become a fantastic addition to the team.

Her work ethic, positive attitude and willingness to learn have really stood out. She’s taken everything in her stride, isn’t afraid to get stuck in and is doing an amazing job.

We’re also excited to share that Emma will soon be taking the next step and becoming APSD’s first apprentice! 👏

We’re looking forward to watching her skills and knowledge grow as she begins her apprenticeship with us.

You’ll be seeing plenty more of Emma out and about on APSD jobs, so make sure you say hi if you see her.

It might just sound like an alarm… but in an aged care facility, this sound can mean someone needs urgent help.

And this wasn’t a test.

While we were onsite at a Gold Coast nursing home, a real time Nurse Call Emergency Alarm activated in one of the wards.

In that moment, the system was doing exactly what it was designed to do. It alerts staff that someone needed urgent assistance.

It’s why testing, maintaining and keeping Nurse Call systems operating correctly is so important.

When an emergency happens, these systems need to work.

Some systems aren’t just about security, they can genuinely help save lives.

From the security and technology we installed throughout, to the incredible finishes and details of the home itself. Tgis one came together beautifully.

A beautiful build by Sabdia Constructions and we had the pleasure of taking care of the security from the ground up.

For this home we installed:

• Hikvision AX Hybrid Pro alarm system
• LCD alarm keypad
• PIR motion detectors
• Internal & external sirens
• Hikvision video intercom with keypad door station & 10” internal monitor
• HiLook 6MP CCTV cameras with human/vehicle detection
• 8-channel NVR with 3TB storage
• All associated data cabling, security cabling, programming & commissioning

The end result is a complete security system designed into the home rather than added as an afterthought.

Always nice seeing our work come together on a build like this.

Not your standard camera upgrade.

As part of the ongoing CCTV upgrade at The Constance Hotel, we recently tackled the cameras inside the lifts. Replacing the old analogue setup with new IP cameras.

With KONE Lifts providing access, we removed the existing cameras and rewired the system for IP.

Lift cameras aren’t as simple as running a new cable from point A to point B. The cabling runs to the lift control box, transitions through the KONE flexible ribbon cable, then comes back off on the lift car before reaching the camera.

It’s one of those jobs where knowing how the different systems work together makes all the difference.

Cameras installed, programmed, tested and everything went smoothly.

Another piece of The Constance upgrade ticked off.
