Roger, your voice and dedication have brought so much joy to our community over the years, and today, we are all thinking of you and Elaine as you celebrate 65 years of beautiful partnership. Thank you both for being such a cherished part of our family—wishing you a truly special and joyful day together!

What a day at the Kadina Showgrounds for the Show 'n' Shine! 🚗🏍️⚡
​While pictures of those stunning machines are already all over social media, we have to give a massive shoutout to the legends who made yesterday so unforgettable!
​The day started bright and early for Dee k and Hughesy, who were on-site at the crack of dawn to get the Gulf FM gear set up and ready to roll. We were live on-air pumping out the tunes from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM, keeping the energy high and chatting with the locals. It was also wonderful to have Kezza join us for a bit to add to the atmosphere!
​And the rides? Absolutely off the charts! We saw everything from iconic Australian classics and tough-as-nails hot rods to beautiful big American Chevys, Cadillacs, and classic trucks—plus some very slick, high-class sports cars and gorgeous classic motorbikes lining the grounds.
​Once Gulf FM packed up our gear around 2:00 PM, Adelaide band Shell Shocked hit the stage at 2:30 PM to keep the crowd rockin' and carry the party right through the rest of the afternoon.
​Here’s what made it such a cracker of a day:
​Pure Automotive Royalty: An unbelievable turnout of Aussie classics, hot rods, big American Chevys & Cadillacs, classic trucks, and sleek sports cars.
​Live Music: Shell Shocked taking over after our broadcast to cap off the afternoon in style!
​Bargains & Bites: Packed markets, a bustling swap meet full of hidden gems, and delicious food vans to keep everyone fueled up.
​Family Fun: Heaps to do to keep the kids entertained all day long.
​Top-Notch Community Spirit: Awesome interviews, great catch-ups, a powerhouse crew of volunteers, and massive crowds having a ball.
​A huge thank you to the organizers, the volunteers, and everyone who stopped by the Gulf FM broadcast setup to say g'day or tuned in on the radio. We were absolutely stoked to be part of it!

Gary Stephen "Angry" Anderson AM (5 August 1947 – 21 September 2026) stands as an indelible icon of Australian hard rock, defined by a fierce, raw vocal energy and an unmistakable presence. Spanning a music career of over 50 years, his journey began in the early 1970s with local bands like Buster Brown before he joined Rose Tattoo in Sydney in 1976.
​As the powerhouse lead vocalist and sole constant member of Rose Tattoo, Anderson forged a legendary catalog of uncompromising rock classics. The band's debut era brought timeless anthems like "Bad Boy for Love" (1977), "Rock 'n' Roll Outlaw", and "We Can't Be Beaten", establishing a high-voltage sound that directly influenced international rock heavyweights like Guns N' Roses. Beyond Rose Tattoo, his career saw memorable pop and rock chart success with solo releases—including the chart-topping hit "Suddenly" (1987) and "Bound for Glory" (1990)—alongside work in film, television, and charity. In 1993, he was appointed a Member of the Order of Australia (AM) in recognition of his significant role in youth advocacy and community work.
