We now have a 30m broadcast tower obtained from Bunbury.
Works are still progressing in the background in relation to licensing and putting together all the necessary studio and broadcasting equipment.

We've continued to receive lots of support from the community and local businesses for this project, thank you to everyone who have contacted us. As we get closer to the real action happening it's great to know we have tremendous support from the community.

A big thanks to Goldfields Off Road for transporting the tower to Kalgoorlie and Comm Systems for supplying riggers to dismantle the tower.

Fantastic news for the Boulder Markets.

We're sure that Kal Rock Radio will be planning to do live broadcasts from the markets once everything is up and running...

𝗕𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗸𝗲𝘁𝘀 𝗥𝗲𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗦𝗼𝗼𝗻...

Regional Promotion & Management have been announced to take over from the Boulder Promotion & Development Association which dissolved in late 2020, owing to a lack of volunteer support.
Our hats go off to the BPDA for their decades of work in promoting Boulder and putting on a range of fantastic community events. We hope to carry on their traditions, acknowledge their efforts and continue to grow community activities in and around Kalgoorlie-Boulder. As such, Regional Promotion & Management will now be running the Boulder Markets, Boulderfest and the Boulder Christmas Street Party.

Last year expressions of interest were sought by the BPDA for interested parties to take over their activities and decided to award Regional Promotion & Management the task of running and co-ordinating the activities previously managed by the BDPA.

We will be liaising with community groups and organisations to seek their input and and to work with them in fundraising activities and opportunities. But this is very early days, so please give us some time to get things organised.

We are busy working away behind the scenes and will provide updates on when to expect the markets back, bigger and brighter than ever.

𝗞𝗮𝗹 𝗥𝗼𝗰𝗸 𝗥𝗮𝗱𝗶𝗼 𝗨𝗽𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗲...

To say there has been a massive community interest in this project would be an understatement!

Many have contacted us wishing to be a part of Kal Rock Radio and asking what they can do to assist.

Establishing Kal Rock Radio will be a lengthy process and in due course we will be seeking public submissions and involvement in the project.

The first steps have now been completed, with "Kalgoorlie Community Radio Inc." being established with an inaugural board in place to facilitate the mountain of administrative and legislative hurdles, requirements and paperwork to be completed before any broadcasting can happen..
A broadcast site is in the final steps of being obtained and a 30m broadcast tower purchased to be built at the site.

Thank you Kalgoorlie-Boulder for your interest and support in these early stages of what will be an exciting project.

𝙄𝙣𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙚𝙨𝙩𝙚𝙙 𝙞𝙣 𝙗𝙚𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙞𝙣𝙫𝙤𝙡𝙫𝙚𝙙 𝙞𝙣 𝙘𝙤𝙢𝙢𝙪𝙣𝙞𝙩𝙮 𝙧𝙖𝙙𝙞𝙤?

Well stay tuned, it's only very early days for this project, an inaugural board has been established and licence applications will be lodged right after the new year.

Once a licence has been granted we will organise the next steps, in finding enthusiastic locals who wish to be involved in this project, a place to house the Kal Rock FM studios and all the other elements that need to come together to make a community initiative like this work.

So far we have the generous backing of Raglan Drilling and Goldfields Off Road who have initiated the project, along with Comm Systems who will be providing the broadcasting equipment and expertise.
