In honour of all the wildflowers blooming this time of year, we thought we’d post some of our all time favourites and interesting flowers we’ve come across out bush! If you know any of the names for the odd ones please comment and let us know, we love learning about Aussie natives! ❤️

We’ve been a bit quiet lately on our socials. Between taking a break from driving and all the rain the goldfields has been having recently we just haven’t had time to get out again.

We’re also in two minds about what we should do this summer. Lots of decisions ahead, but we’ll enjoy it whatever we decide! Hope you’re all having a fantastic weekend! ✌️

Some more little gold nuggets! 👍

Some days are harder than others, whether you’re battling the terrain and plant life or you’re struggling mentally and doubting yourself etc. Detecting isn’t all easy and glamorous like we might sometimes make it out to be.

Today was a bit of both, and that’s ok. Luckily we found a bit of gold to brighten the day but it doesn’t always happen. Sometimes we just come back to camp exhausted. 😅

So here’s to the times where we think about giving up, but don’t. We push on whether we find a bit or not. With a bit of patience and perseverance, we’ll get there.

A little photo dump of our time in the Kimberley, Western Australia! ❤️

From our first time using the GPZ8000 to a surprise (we got engaged!), some stunning sunsets and leaving with our cup filled! There’s something about the Kimberley that we just connect with, it’s such a special area that we love visiting.

Thank you to everyone for making the trip possible, for all of you who watch along on our journey and have been supporting us!

A big thanks to JLK Artistry for working with us on Wills’ ring! It was incredible to work with someone so talented and professional to help us create a truly bespoke ring out of gold and sapphires we’ve found!

A decent little gold nugget with the monster, and then the weigh in for our previous day and today!

Seems like we’ve worked this patch pretty well and are starting to get to the end of it, somewhere over an ounce isn’t too bad at all! 😁

A bit of history and a bit of gold! 🙌

We wanted to open the conversation on filling your dig holes today, while you might not see us do it we always fill in our holes. And after the weather gets to it you’d hardly know there had been a hole there at all! It’s good practice to do for many reasons.

Another day on the gold! 😁

But it’s not always decent targets we pull out. Aside from a few horseshoes and boot nails, luckily there hasn’t been much rubbish. There has been a lot of ground noise with the 8000 though. Maybe it’s the area we’re in, maybe it’s because we run our machines flat out. Has anyone else with an 8000 had this trouble? We’d love to hear your thoughts. 💭

7 gold nuggets in one hole! 😁

Another great day on the gold today working with the GPZ 8000 and the GM2000!

We also did our running total of gold found in the last few days here in the Pilbara and found we’ve hit an ounce, how good is that! 👌

A good day out in this one, making wages! It’s been windy here which makes it hard to weigh the gold with such sensitive scales 😅
