“Always the planner, never the planned for.”
That line hit a little too close to home.
I’ve been the one blowing up balloons. Hanging decorations. Making sure everyone feels celebrated, seen, and special.
The one behind the camera, behind the scenes, behind everyone else’s big moments.
But when it’s my turn…
Silence.
No surprises.
No effort.
Maybe a text or two, if that.
It’s a strange kind of lonely… to constantly show up for others and rarely feel it in return.
And no, it’s not about needing grand gestures.
It’s about wanting to feel thought of.
To be considered.
To not always be the afterthought.
If you’ve ever felt this too, I see you.
The givers. The doers. The planners.
You deserve to feel celebrated just as much as anyone else.
Maybe we just need to start planning something for ourselves, too.
Because waiting around for others to finally notice?
That’s a heartbreak we don’t need to keep repeating.
