Australian Production House comes with a wealth of knowledge and industry expertise from over 50 years in the Australian and overseas film marketplace. Quote from Senior Executive - Louise Schultze

"This has been a long time coming for Melbourne and for us 3 years in the making. We have arguably the best talent in the film industry in this country in Victoria and we lose them to overseas project

s. With big Hollywood and Chinese film giants filming in Australia it is a crime that Melbourne doesn't get the same look in that our NSW and QLD partners in film do. It is time to bring them in to Melbourne and showcase to the world that there is a commercial viability and therefore a good reason why we are the art hub of this country." The Australian Government has taken one of its biggest steps in protecting the future of Australian art and storytelling ✍️ But they need to go further!

The Government has introduced two models in which the streamers can fulfil their Australia spend. They can either go down the percentage of expenditure or percentage of revenue option. The big issue with allowing the streamers to use the % of expenditure model, is that they can ‘creatively’ make the numbers look good to minimise their tax.

We can’t let the Government try and pull a fast one on us and let them sweep it under the rug. If this is such a good option, why has every other country that has implemented something like this, gone against the % of expenditure model? Why are all the streamers being so quiet about the introduced policy? When Canada introduced theirs the streamers immediately launched a legal battle.

We need to be on them this week before does a rush job on the legislation. Keep this conversation going and keep pushing the government towards the best outcomes from Australians! 🇦🇺

A huge shout out to the team at Stage and Screen Australia for inviting us to attend a VIP night at the Australian Ballet hosted by Kate Horwood 🎭

The Aus Ballet dancers and crew put on an incredible performance and we were even able to jump on stage after the show and grab some fun photos! Maybe next time we’ll don the pointe shoes 🩰

The ‘Save Australian Stories’ campaign is now at 10,000 signatures! 🎉 This is such a great achievement for the cause, but we still need your voice to be heard.

The Australian screen industry has been patiently waiting for the Labour government to implement content quotas for streaming platforms that they have promised several times they would do. With a constantly changing landscape in our industry across the globe, this is the time to secure the industry from collapse and keep Australian stories alive. 🇦🇺

This petition, headed by Independent Member Zali Steggall, is expected to launch at a media conference on the 28th of October. If you think it is about time for the government to follow through on its promises, click the link in our bio!

Today is National Giving Day to the Arts 🎭 The accessible arts program partners with Bundanon and provides a 7 day residency program specifically for musicians, visual artists and writers with disability or who are d/Deaf all across Australia.

Until the Australian Government do the research and see what the clever Irish folk have studied across the sea, that a minimum living wage for artists puts back $1.30 for every dollar invested, we will have to rely on amazing organisations like Accessible Arts and supporters like you, for artists to thrive and create the beautiful and thoughtful environment we all live in.

Every dollar can make a difference to these underrepresented artists who will develop their practice and be given the same opportunities as non-disabled peers. With everyone's help, we can make sure this program continues into 2026 ✨

At Screen Producers Australia conference, head of the Strategy and Transformation Project at Channel Nine, Dan Fahy, used APH as a case study on how we strategically use AI through Cinelytic in helping to make key decisions in casting, budget and development. ✍️

Australian Production House has a strong stance on effective and immediate regulation on AI in the creative industry as supported by Save Our Arts and the screen guilds. However, we can see where it can be used in a way that doesn’t compromise creativity, IP and jobs. We have been using Cinelytic for the past year to aid the analytical parts of producing (the boring bits). They have proven incredibly useful for some big upcoming projects 👀

Thanks to Dan Fahy for doing the research and an extra big thanks to the team at Cinelytic for providing us with an amazing tool. Highly recommend!

The Australian Screen Industry has been waiting for the Government to enact AI regulation, but is it too late now and will other industries start to see the repercussions of this?

The largest US copyright settlement of all time has just been finalised after the company, Anthropic, were found to be using books downloaded from pirated websites to train its AI language model.

Is it now just a matter of time before these cases make their way into Australian courtrooms? The Prime Minister has committed to regulating the use of AI within the industry and they need to act now!

We are waiting on you and ! The clock is ticking ⏰

A very Happy Birthday to Paul Macionis! We hope you have a fantastic, fun filled day! 🎉🥳

Louise attended the Australian Premiere of the powerful documentary ‘Free Leonard Peltier’ hosted by MIFF and the Birrarangga Film Festival 🎥

is a rousing film that charts the 50-year fight to release an icon of Native American activism from prison. Louise and the APH team have had the privilege to get to know and chat with the project's creators David France and Jesse Short Bull over the past few months and we are thrilled to see this project on our screens!

Congratulations to everyone involved ✨
