July 15: RFSQ vehicles and equipment reported stolen from Winfield (Bundaberg region). Vehicles have since been sighted in the suburbs of Kepnock, Thabeban and Alloway.
If spotted pls call PoliceLink 131 444.

Police are appealing for public assistance to locate two Rural Fire Service Queensland (RFSQ) vehicles that were reported stolen from Winfield Rural Fire

Mayor Kathy Duff - South Burnett re: PCA closure in Kingaroy

A sad day today with the Bega Group announcing the closure of the Peanut Company of Australia. I spoke to their Executive General Manager today and he said that they are still open for offers but the company is looking to wind back operations over the next 18 months. This will affect around 135 employees and around 60 peanut growers. This is a massive blow for our region and CEO Mark and I are meeting with Bega Group representatives for further discussions.The peanut industry is an important part of our region's industry and identity and that is why the silos are heritage listed. The Bega Group have had PCA for 8 years. I am still hoping and I know the Bega Group are hoping that from this announcement an offer may come forward that is more positive than permanent closure.

🔥 Rural Fire Service Queensland are assisting Council with conducting hazard reduction burns over the coming month (weather permitting).

🚨 Hazard reduction burn locations include:
Biggenden – Sports field
Eidsvold – Mount Rose
Gayndah - Duke and Duchess (Archers Lookout)
Gayndah - Sewerage Treatment Plant
Gayndah - Aerodrome
Ideraway - Cadell Street
Mount Perry – Part A Town Reserve

The town Warning Siren in Stuart Russell Street, Mundubbera will be tested at 12pm TODAY, 1 July 2025 as part of the bi-annual testing procedure.
