Thank you to everyone who joined us yesterday for a wonderful evening at our Spring tourism industry networking event.

A big thank you to our hosts at Tropical Fruit World for the insightful farm tour and the incredible food created by Head Chef Armando. We were also delighted to hear from Christine Manfield and Wal Foster (Bush Icecreamery), who shared their expertise on emerging food trends. To top it off, Wal treated us to a vanilla ice cream with chilli oil – a dessert as unexpected as it was delicious.

A fabulous sneak peek of the upcoming Fire & Forage event for Savour The Tweed, further details here 👇

It’s with great gratitude and a touch of sadness that we farewell our much-loved team member, Louise Terry.

Since May 2019, Lou has been The Tweed's PR & Content Manager, playing a pivotal role in positioning our region as a leading tourism destination. Her achievements include hosting the Australian Society of Travel Writers (ASTW) Convention famil program, delivering Australia’s first Wellness Tourism Conference and securing outstanding national media coverage for the inaugural Savour The Tweed. 🌟

Beyond these professional milestones, Lou will be remembered for her integrity, generosity and unwavering passion for sharing the stories of The Tweed.

Lou’s last day with us is this Friday. Please join us in thanking her for her remarkable contribution and in wishing her every success in her next chapter. 🙌

We’ll be announcing our new PR Manager in the coming days.

For The Tweed, this means the right kind of regional tourism growth: continued investment in experience development, transport, accommodation, digital connectivity and regional marketing will ensure our region remains a central part of NSW’s visitor economy.
