Ooo… are we looking at Podcasts again?
Is it time to recreate that idea you had in 2020 and you know how much it will help other?
Check out this post by our sister-business and see if you want to deal with Video or Podcast content in 2023.
When I was training to be a Trainer, one of the insights that blew my mind was Albert Mehrabian’s 7-38-55 Rule of Personal Communication.
When talking to someone face to face, your audience reads your message in the following ways:
58% - Body Language
38% - Tone of Voice
7% - The actual words used.
So, this also translates across to using a Podcast or Video to reach your clients and prospective clients.
Some of the benefits of using video:
📽 Your audience can see you, and take in your body language as part of your presentation. Are you excited and engaged in your message comes across so much easier.
📽 Use of visual aids, like graphs (see below), slides and in some cases the good old butcher paper or whiteboard!
The benefits of using podcasts:
🎤 Great to listen to on the go, when you don't have time to consume video content but can consume audio content.
🎤 Easier to produce, less tech required (no video), and not requiring props for visual aids so you don't have to stress about the background of your recording!
♿ BONUS QUESTION: Have you considered your accessibility options too? Having a transcription of your content will help those that are unable to listen to, or watch your content.
🧜♀️ For those worried about my lack of Pop Culture throughout the making of this content, please be advised I have been plagued with "Poor Unfortunate Souls" from the Little Mermaid (Disney, 1989) with Ursula the Sea Witch singing about Body Language.
