Leader Flashback: Due to the location of Forby Sutherland Memorial Garden in Eton Street Sutherland, seasonal changes of floral displays can be enjoyed by those passing by or taking some time to relax. Seen here in the early 1970s is the view from the garden looking toward Merton Street and the back of Glen’s Hardware Store which closed in 2010. On the right is the Council’s Administration building. In 2021 a sensory garden was installed to celebrate the site’s 50th anniversary and to complement the existing garden beds.
