Shhhh.... do you wanna know a secret? We've been keeping this amazeballs litter under wraps while we nursed Sora back from her c-section. But we simply cant keep it to ourselves any longer. How gorgeous are these 5 incredible little Dragonettes?
Do NOT ask me gender - I think we've learned by now that I am only right 50% of the time at this age...
And don't ask me names, or we will end up with another boy called Jane.
But I do know they are big beautiful bubbas with a healthy appetite and every sign of developing strong vocal cords. I'm in ๐Ÿ’•โค๏ธ๐Ÿ’•โค๏ธ๐Ÿ’•โฃ๏ธ

Queen: FAIRYFOREST Dragonette Sora (TICA International Champion)
Stud: King vom Moorjuwel

So excited about this litter, hopeful for cinnamon, lynx and dilute carriers...

They are literally night and day - Loui the Seal Mink and StoneMover the Silver Charcoal were both meant to join their forever homes over the last couple of weeks but for both families it simply wasn't the right time... and now these incredibly socialized little boys are looking for new palaces to rule. Both are 4 months old, exceptionally well socialized and good with dogs. They WILL steal the food off your forks, but you will forgive them when they snuggle up on you to watch TV (they are currently addicted to sci-fi series Heroes ๐Ÿ˜)

My darling girl Cobra Lily has been away on an extended honeymoon (thank you Barbie Farrugia and keep your ๐Ÿคž) and I was reunited with her at the NSW CFA show this weekend.

After some very "animated" early performances as a kitten, we don't typically show Cobra, even though she is stunning... but we thought, "she's older, she's loved up, she's probably pretty tired" and we entered her given she was there.

So glad we did, as she was an absolute delight, and now I can justify keeping her forever (I was going to anyway, but I need a "reason" apparently to satisfy the husband this is not just insane cat collecting)

In a really tough line up of 7 bengal girls and 11 ladies overall, Cobra was awarded
๐Ÿต๏ธ 3rd in Group
๐Ÿฏ Best in Breed from International Judge Laura Scholt

It's been a rough weekend with Thor but we have come out the other end.... after I told him we were going away on a weekend together to Wollongong for the NSW CFA Cat Show he discovered JaneWickhamDarcy was coming too, and he went in a bit of huff. He slept on Boleyn's bed in the hotel, not mine, and then talked to everybody at the show except me. However on the drive back I let him loose in the car and he spent all 3 hours on my lap, so I think we are friends again. Relationships need nurturing....
Anyway despite being in a crabby mood he didn't do too badly (though did lose to Jane every ring, so maybe thats really why he was moody ๐Ÿ˜‚)

Thor would like me to remind everyone at this point his title is SILVER DOUBLE GRAND CHAMPION WILD VALLEY Wild Thor, and that Jane hasn't even been titled yet. I don't know why he insisted I write that, but her was VERY VERY insistent

So proud of how FAIRYFOREST RainWing Onyx career is starting out. Whilst I am not really on a mission to remove the spots from bengals, I am finding I am just a little bit in love with marbles, and I believe this girls has a LOT of potential. So glad the judges agreed.
At the NSW CFA Show and Bengal Speciality Ring, Onyx was awarded...

๐Ÿ†๏ธ 9th Best bengal overall - out of 25 bengals in total, not bad for 16 weeks old!
๐Ÿต๏ธ a 3rd and a 4th in group
๐Ÿฏ reserve in breed (out of 4 bengal kittens)

She was an also very very proud of her "Best Marble Bengal In Show" rosette. Nobody needs to tell her she was the ONLY marble bengal on show... ok?

JaneWickhamDarcy is baaaack! After some rather confronting feedback where words like "substantial", "rotund" and "who ate all the pies?" were used, Jane underwent a strict diet of only being allowed to eat his own food (which also had delightful physique improvements for Thor who was losing all his food to him)
At the NSW CFA show this weekend in an adult bengal ring of 4 boys and a Bengal speciality ring of 25 bengals, Jane was awarded

๐Ÿ† 4th Best in Breed Overall (out of 25)
๐Ÿต๏ธ 2*2nd and 1* 3rd in Group
๐Ÿฏ 2* Best in Breed and one Reserve in Breed

At only 11 months of age he was up against much older boys and still has a lot of growing to do, but I am super proud of how his adult show career is starting.

What an amazing weekend. The Bengal Speciality Ring that was held inside of CFA NSW Spring Show was the place to be if you loved bengal - bengals making up more than a quarter of the show - 25 out in total.
I will post each of my fab team of 5 separately - all done me proud, but I was just so amused by these shots of the cats reactions to Rosettes
WildValley Thor - 2 years of showing, "rosettes so boooooring"
FairyForest JWD - 8 months of showing - "rosettes, yeah naturally just pop them down here"
FairyForest Onyx - one month of showing "What are these shiny toys!!!!! Gimme Gimme! Can I Eat Them????"

I'm pleased to say that the FairyForest team did very well, and also that the best cat definitely won (even though it wasn't us)

Public service warning for all cat judges. If you use your teaser to play with JaneWickhamDarcy at a cat show it is now HIS teaser. Not one, but two, interstate judges at last weekends Cats NSW Spring Show seemed surprised by this and were lamenting the loss, or digestion, of their favorite teaser.
Apart from the accusations of thievery, FAIRYFOREST JaneWickhamDarcy did rather well.
๐Ÿต๏ธ Best in Group, and a 3rd and 4th
๐Ÿฏ 2* Best In Breed

Apparently - according to the judges who are qualified and experienced and all that jazz, there were actually better kittens on show this weekend than WILDVALLEY Lizzie Bennet. But I will swear til the end of time they are wrong (and I am definitely not biased)๐Ÿ˜น๐Ÿ˜ป๐Ÿ˜น๐Ÿ˜ป

She however did pretty good. Now that she has stopped behaving like a maniacal teaser thief on the bench judges are seeing her amazing type... and are not spending long enough with her to know what devious plans she has brewing inside that perfect little head.

In a line up of 5 bengal kittens and 27 kittens, she was
๐Ÿต ninth kitten overall under International judge Pascal Pobe and
๐ŸฏReserve in breed twice... and she is excited to show next weekend with that pesky Teddy finally in adult class.
