Time flies when you are having fun/ chasing kittens around the house when they keep escaping the kitten room :).
The RainWings had their second vet checks and vaccinations today and once again spotlessly clean bill of health. Thank you to Wentworth Falls Animal Hospital, we have really landed on our feet with such a wonderful local vet who have stepped up to all our bengal and boxer crazy in the past few weeks!
I can't believe next week is desexing day and then three of them will leave me to start new lives with very lucky families.
FAIRYFOREST RainWing Onyx (the brown marble girl) will be joining our family as once again we swear we are not keeping another marble and then totally fall in love.... Also starring Fireball (brown spotted boy in yellow collar ad pink harness), "Maybe Yuki" (seal mink boy) and "Jerboa for Now" (brown spotted girl in aqua harness)

This stunning Silver Charcoal boy is interviewing for prospective parents.
You can see from his face how brilliant his silver is under that charcoal cape and every day as he grows we see it a little bit more... he's going to be a show stopper.
More importantly he is a confident little terror, super happy to do some weird (and rather spiky) jumping thing up my legs while I sit at my desk and loves nothing more than batting a swing ball backwards and forwards (and occassionally into his brothers face)
"Stonemover" as we call him is from fully health tested lines, PRA-b and PK-def clear with parents cardiologist cleared for HCM recently. He has also had his first vaccinations and been given a clean bill of health from his vet.

The RainWings are now eight weeks old and just like the Dragonette tribe they are named after - everyone is incredibly colourful and unique. Choosing who stays is becoming a real challenge and point of contention in this house!
We have two brown spotted (male and female), a brown marble, a seal mink spotted, and a blue mink marble... and none of them understand how to pose for photos.

DIVAS!!! All of them. Now WILDVALLEY teddy Bear wants his award certificate published.
Apologies to Ancats - Australian National Cat Alliance Inc for a little creative license with Teddy's certificate as I added his breeder and co-owner from Wild Valley Bengals who spotted this boys talent and now shares this fabulous boy with our family. (noting however she has broken our "contract" where she is meant to be there and collecting any rosettes our shared cats win as I really really don't like that part :) )

She came, she saw, I think she conquered, she certainly made her presence felt. 😹
WILDVALLEY Lizzie Bennet was definitely the smallest kitten in Ancats - Australian National Cat Alliance Inc show last weekend, but she didn't let that stop her being the loudest.
More than one judge said it simply wasn't a fair contest putting her up against her much much much bigger brother, and that was probably fair but its all about experience at this age... and I definitely have an experience every time I take her to a show. And she LOVES it.
I am not publishing her results as the summary sheet incorrectly awards her a Top 5 placing that she most definitely did not get (it was her brothers win)... so I'll be honest and said she won nothing except a LOT of hearts! But a tonne of good feedback on her potential and pattern.

Umm OK now I feel bad... just when I accuse the show team of acting like Divas because I didn't proudly post photos and results the second I got home, I realize two things and hang my head in shame...
1. I didn't get a single photograph of Sora at the show (in my defense I was stewarding for most of it)... so the attached photo is the last ANCATS show and I hope she doesn't notice
2. I completely missed that FAIRYFOREST Dragonette Sora has achieved the title of GRAND CHAMPION with ANCATS!

Congrats again to Ancats - Australian National Cat Alliance Inc for a massive (102 entries, 6 bengals) and joyous show.

Sora is now up against her little sister XO, Kitty Bennet in Adult Class and judges, like me, are having a hard time picking between the two. I am really happy to see them share the honors.

Once again the show team are complaining I have not posted their results with a speed that suggests pride. I am of course incredibly proud of them all but I try to explain "your sister is in hospital, we have two litters, we have a Japanese exchange student..." but still they sulk.
Sooo. I am very proud to share FAIRYFOREST IceWing Narwahl's results from Ancats - Australian National Cat Alliance Inc 29th Anniversary Show last weekend.
Such a massive show, 102 entries, 25 entire adults, 6 bengals.

🏵Under NZ Judge Roy Griffiths, Narwahl placed Best of Breed and Group, and she also collected 2 more second in breeds.
In only 2 adult shows she has already outperformed her mother which is awesome confirmation we are moving in the right direction.

👏And a huge congrats to the ANCATS team on their last few shows, they are getting bigger and better every time ... so much joy and fun in the room. 😻
