Sweet memories and beautiful pictures from one of our legendary camping trips in Australia as described by our dear travel mate Anna.

⛺️⛰🌅🐣

On Thursday before Easter my friends Kati and Tero picked me up at my hostel in Sydney for a camping trip to the Blue Mountains. The Blue Mountains are about 50 km from Sydney and they appear to be…

We have to admit... we’re not the fastest at publishing our travel videos... 😅🙈 we could blame all the technical challenges we’ve had... but honestly we’ve just been too lazy to sit inside editing... on the road it’s been more fun to focus on experiencing.

Today we’re leaving this tropical side of the world behind and flying from Singapore to Athens, Greece. It feels like a good time to look back and see a glimpse of how life looked like over a year ago.

Samoa - tropical paradise 💚🏝

We’ve now already left wonderland Australia behind but here’s a quick look to one of our highlights. Rottnest Island with cute and goofy quokkas! So glad we managed to squeeze in visit to this island on our second last day in Oz.

Tiny town of Lancelin was a truly pleasant surprise!

Our visit there could’ve been a disaster since the weather was horrible. Freezing cold, windy and rainy (long gone are the days up in NT where we were sweating all day all night). Absolutely not optimal for sandboarding which happens to be THE thing that Lancelin is mostly known for (seriously in October it seems to be a total ghost town otherwise).

Fortunately our travel plans are flexible and we decided to wait another day and managed to squeeze in one surf session for Tero and hilarious sandboarding for all.

Shoutout to Lancelin Lodge YHA hostel and awesome owners Karen&Nils for making us feel so welcomed. Their hospitality is second to none and two big bonuses for us were the oven and percolator of their kitchen- think home made pizza and proper coffee ☕️ 🍕👌🏼😍 appreciating these small luxuries in life!

Big shoutout also to Wade from Wade’s Surf Shack who fixed two of our surfboards that we managed to damage due to heavy winds while setting them back up on the roof rack. One of our saddest moments turned into happiness when this awesome fellow told us “yeah sure, I can fix these, no problems. Beautiful boards.’And yes I can get them both done today.” That’s some inspiring can-do-attitude right there!

Currently we’re on our way down to Esperance and tenperatures are prettyyy chilly. Fun fact: Last night we camped close to a town called York and the night time temperature there was same as in York, England. +6 degrees.

Ningaloo Reef has proved to be absolutely incredible! Stunning corals can be reached easily by swimming straight from gorgeous beaches in Exmouth and Coral Bay and we’ve had the pleasure of seeing countless beautiful fishes, turtles and even reef sharks from very near distance 👌🏼😍🐠🦈 Almost too good to be true!

Here’s one of our favourite mini videos so far:

Good News! We followed the sun and after one full week of intensive driving days covering more than 4000 dry and hot (and to be honest quite boring) kilometres... We have now reached the West Coast of Australia 🇦🇺 🙌🏼😍

Just in time to see the Saturday Sun drop in the Indian Ocean. Such a pity though that those camels had to photobomb 😜

After a day of almost running out of fuel (it was literally question of one or two km’s) and therefore no A/C... a dip in the ocean has never felt so good! And woah! The temperature of the water here is so pleasant, incredibly warm. 👌🏼☺️

Yaay! We’ve spotted our first crocodile in the wild! 🐊✅

Now we’re ready to cross the border from Northern Territory to Western Australia.

These +40c temperatures are making us sweat like crazy the moment you step out of shower💦 awe just can’t wait to feel the cooling sea breeze again!

Darwin ✅

Now on our way towards Western Australia and Broome! Hopefully reaching the Indian Ocean within a week from now.

Outback of Northern Territory has already proven to be very dry and hot hot hot. Temperatures swinging around +35c and not dropping below +25c during night time. 😅 Feels like sauna!
