I HOPE YOU CAN HEAR ME LAUNCESTON as I will be broadcasting from the top of a tree tonight, yes I have been literally blown away by the wet and wild weather soaking our town. BUT FEAR NOT I have patched into the CITY PARK RADIO transmitter using a tin can and a very long piece of string because, as we all know, the show MUST GO ON!

I knew something was up when I found her hugging the heater while moaning about the cold rather than wearing shorts and drinking a BOAGS at the Harvest Market like a good Tasmanian should!

Its a dark and chilly night and you're tucked up in bed. "Phew!" you think. "Those vampires plaguing Tasmania sure are a nuisance! Good thing they can't come in without my invitation!"

But then you hear a spooky scratching noise at the window, as if someone was dragging their long crooked fingernails across the glass. But you live on the second floor! Maybe they have a ladder. Best check to be sure.

"I sure hope it isn't a vampire trying to get in!" you think as you pull back the curtain.

But OH NO it IS a scary vampire!

"Let me in, dude," says the vampire. "I want to play jenga with you!"

"No way!" you reply. "You're a vampire and will probably eat me!"

"That's just prejudice!" he retorts. "Ok, I get it, jenga sucks. But check this out - I have a CD of great new music from JASE N JO from New Brew! Let me in and we can listen to it together!"

"That explains your community radio tshirt," you say suspiciously. You want to listen to some amazing tunes but this may be a trick! "Who's on the show?"

You’re sitting in a booth in a dark and dingy space night club on a desert world far out in the Outer Rim. You’ve been on the run for the evil space Empire forces for days now and you’re in desperate need of some rest and relaxation. Sometimes, you think to yourself, you're so sick of all these darn star wars.

The bartender glances your way and you gesture to the empty glass in front of you. “I’ll have another space whiskey,” you say.

“That’ll be six space bucks,” says the bartender.

“Here’s ten – keep the change,” you say, throwing a ten space buck chip on the table which is shaped like an octagon for some reason. As he reaches for it, you grab his wrist. “Provided you tell me – I’m looking for someone. Or something..."

The bartender licks his many lips nervously cause he’s some sort of space alien, you know how it is with space bars. “You with the Rebellion?”

“Maybe.”

“In that case, keep your money and ask your question.”

You relax. He’s on your side. “I’ve had a long, hard fight. I need some inspiration.”

“You’ve come to the right place,” says the space bartender. “You

WHATS GOING ON NEW BREW CREW!? I'm currently on HOLD with BUNNINGS which is kinda like the modern version of being trapped in the PHANTOM ZONE, I'm just out there in space flipping around in a big glowy panel wondering if I will ever be put through to the DISPATCH DOCK to find out if my order is coming tomorrow.

Will Superman accidentally free me with an errant nuclear bomb? Or will Bunnings ever answer my call?

The fact that I'm writing this waffly Facebook post may give you a clue as to my likelyhoods of being freed of this HOLD MUSIC HELL.
