My collateral damage to collateral gain ratio is improving as I learn the Manticore. Scored 6 decimal coins and an Art Nouveau copper pendant. Deliberately dug 3 targets I was sure were trash just to test, and the Manticore and my new Nokta Accupoint were spot on each time, really loving both of them.

Todays detecting in a park in Launceston, gathered lots of broken glass all over the surface would’ve needed a wheelie bin or two to gather the lot sadly. But also finally topped my record of two coins in one hunt and I got six for a total value of 17c.
All dated 1966 and all in one spot. Possibly some poor kid in 1966 with pocket money in shiny new decimal coins sat down all fell over and lost it. 17c is 1 and 6 in old money you would have got some decent lollies for that back then. 58 years later when i found them you would not even get to sniff any lollies for that.

Great day out with Chris on Saturday at a very old place at Ledgerwood.
I dug quite a lot of Iron while I try and figure the Manticore out, but was dad chuffed with this BSA engine cover and the ceramic topped window latch. Superb weather, a beautiful property and very kind owners to allow us on there.
