ENGLAND HAVE WON THEIR FIRST WORLD CUP AFTER FOUR ATTEMPTS, BY THE BAREST OF MARGINS... ELATION FOR THE HOME SIDE... UTTER DESPAIR FOR NEW ZEALAND, BUT WHAT A DAY, AND WHAT A GAME WE'VE SEEN AT THE HOME OF CRICKET...

JIMMY NEESHAM WAS NEARLY THE HERO, BUT INSTEAD IT'S JOFRA ARCHER, BEN STOKES AND JOS BUTTLER WHO WILL GO DOWN AS THE HEROES FOR ENGLAND, AS THEY FINALLY TASTE WORLD CUP GLORY!

That was a superb performance from Jos Buttler and Ben Stokes... they were England saviour in the fifty over innings, and they've delivered again in the Super Over...
Stokes picked up 8, Buttler 7, and now New Zealand need 16 runs off 6 balls to win the 2019 ICC Cricket World Cup...

The bad news for New Zealand is... it's sixteen or lose... if they get fifteen, England will lift the trophy in a few moments time.

This is sport at its very, very best.

Jofra Archer will bowl the super over for England... New Zealand have opted to send Martin Guptill and Jimmy Neesham into bat... we wait to see what might happen here... let's go back to Ian Bishop, Nasser Hussain and Ian Smith!
