Not all Omelettes are equal

At Café Lurline, Chef Jackie takes the classic omelette and adds a touch of magic, folding fresh eggs into a smooth half-moon that’s cooked just right.

Choose your favourite style — Plain, Cheese, Spanish or White, each with its own character and flavour.

Every omelette is served with a side of sourdough, roasted cherry tomatoes and crisp garden greens. To finish, they add a spoonful of our house-made chilli hollandaise. It’s a small touch that brings gentle heat and a lift of flavour, making the omelette a café favourite.

TIP: Chef Jackie said, "If you're cooking at home, the best heat level to cook an omelette for the ideal texture is medium to medium-low heat. Cooking on medium heat allows the eggs to set gently without becoming tough or crispy, resulting in a silky, tender omelette.

DELISH: Michael Connolly said: "I popped into Bang Bowls, Katoomba, for lunch after I’d done the Saturday morning shopping in Katoomba, and I haven’t been there for lunch for what seems like ages.

I had the very tasty & popular Gochujang Chicken, which is Wok-fried chicken thigh coated in smoky gochujang sauce, hot rice, spiced green veg & kimchi - with a Korean BBQ sauce and sesame seeds, and it was very tasty.

I washed it down with a limited edition Turkish Delight hot chocolate, and that really hit the spot too.
