The first single from B***r Contention's new album just dropped and it's an old school heavy metal masterpiece. Drums were recorded by me at Nedlands Studio and I edited the instruments. Alex Kewley recorded vox and did the mix. Plenty more to come, whole album dropping this year.

Just found this vid from Zipper Clone. I did the sound that night, it was as mental as it looks. Unexpectedly blew my head off in the best way! One of my fave Blah Bar gigs. The fake blood stains in the carpet were always a pleasant reminder of that gig too.

Big day with Ma*****st yesterday. This one is a live take just to set the tempo and get the guides. The rest was done instrument by instrument. I was extremely hungover from going a bit hard at the Space X Dragon gig after Eat the Street the day before but we got there.

If you are against ai in music you really should avoid using it for your promo posters and artwork also. It also stops your posters looking like everyone else's posters.

I've been holding off posting about this one but here we go.
I just wanted to thank Pat and Eddie Stanton at the Blah Bar so much for everything they have done and everything they tried to do. Not just to keep the Lismore music scene alive, but to take it to a 'must stop' town on any Australian band's touring calendar. (We've even had bands from overseas raving about the place.) Running the sound desk there was a breath of fresh air for me. I loved it. It sounded great in there and the people I met along the way were amazing. I can't remember how many times I've been setting up and hearing bands walking through the door saying things like "I've heard so many good things about this place" or "we absolutely love it here, what an awesome place" etc.. etc... You could feel the love after every gig. I made some amazing new friends really quickly and discovered a few new bands that I now listen to regularly. It will be dearly missed and fondly remembered.

I can honestly say I have never seen such consistent accuracy for hit placement in my life. Note the very small patch on the skin where it has been getting hit and also note the even smaller area of damage on the stick. Insane work Shano. B***r Contention is cu***ng to a venue near you!
