Classes resume TODAY 🥳

Term 3 is a big, exciting, creative filled term for all of us at D-Vine. Once our numbers are calculated today, we’ll reopen bookings for this term so we can have new students join us in either Lismore or Ballina!

During classes this term we have lessons focusing on making connections between our personal stories and the stories of the characters we play, we’ll support Lismore Theatre Company with some more videos again, and will commence looking at advertising techniques & acting for ads for TikTok and Instagram reels which we will make for the upcoming Christmas Show, “A Holiday Dream” which is part of the Lismore Theatre Company - Rochdale Theatre 2025 line up.

Outside of classes we have some fun and exciting adventures lined up with the Alstonville and Wollongbar Community Fun Run, and we find out in the coming days whether D-Vine Creatives was successful with the Greater Community Funding Grant.

Exciting things lie ahead for this term ✨

Shout out to Bree, who is my assistant director at the end of the year for our Christmas Show. She’s my treasurer for D-Vine Creatives. Shes a long time member of the D-Vine family, and is also going to be 21 soon - time has gone by so quickly! This year has been a big year for her with so much on her schedule, but this Friday she takes to the Rochdale stage once again for an amazing and very funny show, Black Adder 2.

If you have the time to come and watch the show, definitely book tickets soon as one show has already sold out and the rest are not far off.

Proud to be teaming up with Alstonville Wollongbar Fun Run Challenge to celebrate the creativity of the young people of this community 🎭

The creativity we see in young people extends out past the stage and screen, many of the young people we’ve worked with also have a talent for painting, drawing, making and designing. Young people have great ideas and are full of creativity, so we’re bringing back our market that celebrates these young entrepreneurs.

Come support local young people at the fun run this September 14th.

All stalls feature handmade or second hand goods and are run by children and teens.

🚨 Are you a young entrepreneur and want to be involved? 🚨

✨We're looking for creative crafts: Handmade jewellery, crocheted items, clay keychains, artwork, woodwork etc.

✨We're also looking for young people who offer services: Dog walking, babysitting, car cleaning, etc. You can advertise your services at a stall and connect with potential customers.

✨We'd love to have some young musicians to entertain and collect donations for themselves (come along as a busker for the day!)

D-Vine Creatives provides opportunities for children, youth and young adults to explore their creative potential.

This December, join us for "A Holiday Dream," a family fun Christmas show at the Rochdale Theatre, entirely conceived, produced, and performed by young people. This heartwarming story follows Tiny Tim on an adventure on Christmas Eve into fairytale land. Tim is shy and lacks the courage he needs to spend Christmas with his family. He’s not in the Christmas spirit and wants to be alone on Christmas until he discovers the courage he has with the help from some of his favourite fairytale friends!

This show showcases the talent and passion of our young D-Vine Creatives.

Beyond the stage we also offer other exciting programs, including a Creative Kids Market (our second one coming again in September alongside the Alstonville and Wollongbar community fun run) and opportunities for youth to participate in film projects, empowering the next generation of artists and storytellers.

This monetary support would help us greatly in getting our name established within the community and with making “A Holiday Dream” a show for the history books.

We’re teaming up with Alstonville Wollongbar Fun Run Challenge to bring our market back - a fun side project for all the young entrepreneurs and artists both within & outside of D-Vine to showcase their artistic and creative abilities off the stage.

Lismore Theatre Company - Rochdale Theatre is excited to present a youth-led Christmas show at the Rochdale Theatre to end their 2025 season 🤩

Directed by Elysha, "A Holiday Dream" will see senior high school students from The D-Vine Drama Company bringing their incredible talent to the production as the crew. LTC have been amazing at embracing our Senior Highschoolers as crew for this show.

So this year, the D-Vine Drama classes are exploring all aspects of theatre and film. We're focusing on the behind the scenes of pre-production through to production, as well as performing (with some filming lessons added in too!) Aside from acting we'll be looking at set design, blocking, sound and lighting, interviewing the cast, and making advertisements for the show.

At D-Vine we love exploring all the different elements of theatre and film - and we’re looking for new students to join us!

Ava, Harper, Eliza, Alyssa and Maddie - thankyou for help setting up the camera and learning about interviews yesterday in class.

You all came up with some awesome questions - this is just one of the questions & answers in this video, which means there’s more coming!

We had the primary / high school split class interview Erika, those interviews are coming too!

Such an amazing session yesterday with both classes at Rochdale! ✨💚
