This wasn't a horror movie.

It happened in Kenya.

In 2023, Shakahola Forest in Kilifi County became the centre of one of the most horrifying religious cult tragedies in Kenya's history.

At the centre of it was self-proclaimed pastor Paul Nthenge Mackenzie, leader of Good News International Ministries.

Followers were allegedly convinced that abandoning their normal lives, isolating themselves and starving themselves to death would allow them to “meet Jesus.”

Reports and testimonies described followers being encouraged to give up their possessions and money, with allegations that some sold property and brought their wealth into the movement.

Then came the forest.

A place where people were allegedly prepared to die believing death would take them directly to heaven.

And what investigators discovered there was horrifying.

Mass graves.

Children among the earliest victims.

Entire families buried together.

Starving survivors wandering through the forest.

As of August 2025, the reported death toll had reached 457.

Hundreds more people had been reported missing.

And the deaths weren't all attributed to starvation.

Autopsies found evidence consistent with starvation, strangulation, suffocation and blunt-force trauma.

One survivor was reportedly found after being buried alive for three days.

Three days.

ALIVE. UNDERGROUND.

Authorities also reported allegations that followers were told to isolate themselves from the outside world and destroy government documents, including identification documents and birth certificates.

And according to authorities, people who wanted to escape the fasting were allegedly attacked.

The most disturbing part?

Children were reportedly among those expected to die first.

This is where Shakahola becomes a brutal lesson about the power of manipulation.

🚨 POPULAR INFLUENCER “TINY” DIES AFTER COSMETIC SURGERY ON HIS PRIVATE PART GOES WRONG

British-Nigerian businessman and influencer Igho “Tiny” Ubiribo, 43, has passed away after a p***s enlargement procedure in Thailand reportedly caused a fatal pulmonary embolism, according to a UK coroner.

He reportedly wanted it long, strong and curved—apparently with one major mission: to make the girlfriend happy. 😂😂

British-Nigerian influencer Igho “Tiny” Ubiribo, also known as Denisi or Ego, died after undergoing a p***s enlargement procedure during a luxury trip to Thailand with his wife.

According to an inquest at Inner West London Coroners’ Court, Igho reportedly had 40 millilitres of hyaluronic acid and lidocaine injected into his p***s at a clinic in Bangkok in March.

After the procedure, he and his wife, Danielle Simba Allen, reportedly went for a massage. While there, he complained of chest pain and collapsed twice.

He was rushed to Sukhumvit Hospital, where doctors diagnosed him with a pulmonary embolism—a blood clot blocking an artery in the lungs.

Medics reportedly performed CPR for more than 100 minutes, but sadly, Igho died in the early hours of March 6.

A postmortem examination conducted in the UK reportedly found cellular material in his lungs matching the hyaluronic acid used during the procedure.

Coroner Jean Harkin subsequently ruled that Igho died from a pulmonary embolism caused by the cosmetic procedure.

Igho, who had around 185,000 Instagram followers, was known for his lavish lifestyle. He was later buried in London in a reported $745,000 gold coffin, with Nigerian stars including Davido and Cubana Chief Priest among those who attended his funeral.

But honestly… 😂

Bro went to Thailand trying to add a little extra confidence, wanted it long, strong and curved to keep the girlfriend smiling… and ended up paying the ultimate price.
