Good evening Mal West with you for Thursday Night Country from 6pm to 10pm thanks to our amazing Sponsor KickAss Country. Join me for 4 hours of Great Country Music. 🤠 As usual we'll feature plenty of New Australian Country Music releases along with a mix of the Biggest Hits & Greatest Memories all with that Country flavour.
Coming up on Saturday 2nd August in Jacobs Well is the Paint The Town Country - Music Festival. This Free Family Day has market stall, food trucks, face painting, jumping Castle and Fireworks display for the kids. Joining Headliner Jake Whittaker are some amazing Country Artists like Billie-Jo Porter Music, Katelann Maree, Matty Rogers, Pete Cullen & The Hurt and the Agius Brothers Band.
The party starts at 11am in Riesenweber Park Jacobs Well Qld and goes till 9pm. 101FM will be there on the day with an outside Broadcast from 12noon to 3pm keeping you up to date with all the colour and excitement of Paint The Town Country Music Festival and best of all it's a Free Family Event.
Also not that far away now is the Gympie Music Muster on the 28th to 31st August. We will have more information for you as it gets closer. Tickets are on sale now and if you've never been, it's one of those great Australian Music Events.

John Brewster, one of the founding members of The Angels (Official), is the special guest on the Thursday morning show on 101FM Logan City with Jason Dasey.

The Angels are joining James Reyne & Hoodoo Gurus, among others, in an eagerly anticipated show at Sandstone Point Hotel next week with the South Australian rockers celebrating 50 years in the limelight.

Also, we will give away tickets to a controversial new musical opening this week in Brisbane from Bump In Productions and the husband and wife team in lead roles will join me in the studio.

Also, Battle of The Beatles takes us to the Fab Four’s appearance at my former employer, BBC. And the deputy mayor will deputise for Mayor Jon Raven in our council segment.
