Does anyone out there use the issuu platform as a publishing tool? I use issuu.com to circulate my free online magazine BETA developments in photography to the readership. My current level of service historically has cost around AU$750 a year. Issuu have just informed me that they have unilaterally restructured their offerings, scrapping my current plan altogether and upgrading me to the new 'ultimate' plan and now request payment of AU$5300 a year, ostensibly because now they are offering a range of (spurious) extra services that I don't need, nor expect I will ever need, nor I expect 80% of their current users will ever need.
It's incredibly frustrating when tech companies such as this seem all to be wannabe billionaires that give little heed or regard to those customers who helped them to build those businesses in the first place. If anyone has a suggestion as to an alternative platform that operates in a similar reasonably priced form please let me know. 💩💩💩

First in a planned series of 'Red Shoe' books - this one on Poland whilst things are still fresh in my memory.

This is a bit of an experiment, being the first time I have put anything on my socials that I have asked for payment. Hoist on my own petard, as to open an account to accept payments via stripe I had to submit a wealth of documentation, including my business registration. It seems it expired some years back, and cost me $300 to reinstate for the next 3 years, so if 70 of you kind and generous readers should purchase a copy it will get me back to zero in no time at all.😏

If you are wondering why you are not receiving current newsletters because you used to be on the subscriber list, we have been under attack from a surge of what appear to be spurious new subscribers, which has prompted me to go over the database with a fine tooth comb and delete names shown to never have opened a BETA email.
Publishing just 4 newsletters plus a Xmas card each year, each time I have the joy of wading through pages and pages of fluff trying to find where in the system I had used quite successfully previously had been translocated to.
Mail Chimp, never an overly friendly platform to use, has become increasingly convoluted and without a higher education degree and considerable knowledge of tech jargon, it has become a major time waster in my life.
Anyhow, I think I finally have it sorted Halleluja. BETA developments in photography number 57 is due to release first week of October.
