Today I had the absolute honour of catering for the QantasLink CabinCrew NAIDOC Week Morning Tea with my lubly Fried Scones and delicious Coconut & Maple Syrup Damper 🥰 my very first catering service and no crumbs were left 😅🤌🏾 Esso QantasLink & Georgina Saveka/Moertel for choosing Bebe Lena’s Kitchen 🥰🌺 HAPPY NAIDOC WEEK 🌴💙💚🤍🖤💛❤️

My first Damper Comp 2025 was a hit 🤩 didn’t get the big win but still walked away with 3rd place and I’m pretty smitten about that. It’s not everyday you get your Pumpkin Damper judged by Troy Cassar-Daley 🤩🙌🏾

Congratulations to the Winners 🥇 Amanda Barlow and 🥈 Patricia Banu (apologies if I’ve mispelt your names) I tasted your dampers and they were so worthy of those placings 🤩👌🏾🎉

As nerve-racking as this was, I thoroughly enjoyed this Comp. I walked away with not just 3rd place & my beautiful Prizes but lil notes of gratitude:

- Grateful for my Beautiful Daughter for being my lil helper today and hype-girl 🫶🏾😘
- Not having my partner today, made me appreciate how much he does for me, I may do most of the cooking but having him setup/help with prep goes along way so very fortunate for him 🥰😘
- Self-Reminder, Not to hold back with my creative culinary ideas, ALWAYS back myself, especially when that doubt kicks in! New is Good!
- & Lastly, Grateful for my food to be tasted by such an admirational Judge Panel 🙌🏾🤩

Prep for Damper Comp tomorrow 💪🏽👩🏽‍🍳 Didn’t have my Sous Chef/Right-Hand Man and the neighbour wasn’t home to provide the goods (Banana leaf) but nevertheless, the land will always provide 🤌🏾 Keen to make some hot fresh damper for the judges tomorrow 🥰 Goodluck to all contestants ✨
