Race Recap | Annual Halvo Memorial Race 🏁

It’s one of those races that shouldn’t have to happen, that’s for sure. Mental health is no joke. Look after yourself and your loved ones, and don’t be afraid to seek help or ask someone if they’re okay.

Im bummed i couldn't attend the full event, next year I'll be there swinging and got some ideas to help fund raise and maybe prizes

Right, serious talk done. Let’s get down to business.

I was only there for maybe 2.5hrs total because of work commitments. Yeah, adulting sucks. Kids, if you’re whinging about school, you’re fu**ed when you become an adult and have to work

• Numbers were down a little, which is unfortunate, but I reckon everyone is pretty over the long season by now.

• Track looked absolutely mint in the morning from the photos and random snaps I saw. Massive effort from the club and volunteers. Grounds were looking on point too, easily one of the best-looking pits on the circuit.

• Plenty of toilets available too. Always a win

• MX1: Brotherly love was alive and well. Linc was getting absolutely peppered with roost from big bro Liam and trying everything to get past. I was thinking, “Sh*t, Linc is going to punt him shortly,” but instead he simply out-braked him into the right-hander, took the inside and got around him.

• Bailey was apparently out for a casual ride, taking in the prestigious mangroves and checking whether any homeless people were lurking in there.

• MX2: Honestly, I saw Caleb out front and thought, yep, no one is even in the same postcode as him.

• Instead of yelling I might get a pitboard, I’m just going to ask… does anyone want to sponsor me one? I’ll pitboard for everyone

• Can we please stop watering corners that already resemble concrete… and maybe the jumps too?

• Didn’t get to watch the 85s, but I’ll take a stab and say they were loose units as always.

• 65s: Absolute wild bunch. One falls, several others seem to follow like sheep.

• Shootout: How many swear words did Caleb throw out trying to get past those pesky Hondas? Once he finally got through, he made up a f**kload of time on Bailey. That would’ve been a bloody good battle to watch!
