A big and well deserved congratulations to Sabina Sabrina Serena for taking out the song of the year for Wax Lyrical Grafton 2025!

Sabina had the rooms attention with her song '5th Fretter'.
It was mesmerising to watch.
Lyrically very clever, engaging, unique and original. She delivered her song with emotion and a power that was undeniable.

Sabina is a humble and highly talented poet/song writer who has just emerged into the scene thanks to our monthly ASA showcases.

STATEMENT AFFECTING ALL EVENT PROMOTERS, ORGANISERS & ATTENDEES

We’ve just been contacted by Council and asked to remove all of our Kyle Lionhart event signs around the Clarence. Not because our council has an issue with them - but because someone decided to call up and complain, that they’re on public land.

It’s very disappointing that one person’s petty complaint can cause such a ripple effect across our whole community. This doesn’t just affect us - it affects every local event trying to promote something positive, bring people together, and contribute to the region’s culture and economy.

Event signs don’t harm anyone - they simply let locals know about live music, sporting events and community gatherings. But thanks to one individual, every organiser now has to think twice before promoting their event.

To whoever felt the need to make that call - congratulations. You’ve managed to make things harder for event managers, in an already struggling industry.
